The only reason Vegas clubs thrive is because they are backed by the casino's and are a big part of the Vegas experience.  Even then, most have to reinvent themselves after a couple of years when something new opens or another club becomes the "it" club.

With that said, occational splurging is ok. I'm very well off, so I know what he's going through, that restless feeling, sometimes you just want to spend some money. Long as you take in more than you put out, no worries.
