What Kobe do you expect to see next year man?

Remember that Toronto game last year where he hit the 3 3's? Do you expect THAT Kobe to come back, at 36, with pretty severe issues on his legs now? On top of the mileage, on top of the age?

I mean, I think he can come back and be good, but even his last couple great years, he didn't help on defense much, and he ain't about to start now, so with his offense even declining, what do you expect him to be able to do?

Pau will be out. Nash won't help. A rookie can only do so much his first year. If we don't sign any key free agents (and we should hope they don't) then it's a real possibility we suck again next year, with an eye towards 2015. (Ie, the right way to go about things)

Yes. Our pick is Top 5 protected. We want to be in there, rather than 6-10 and hand it over to the Suns, who have about 200 first round picks the past 18 months.

None of us know what will happen next year.
It's just hard to imagine if Kobe plays for the entire season, even at his age at 75%, that the team will be worse than it was this season. Especially if we draft someone like Randle who looks nba ready and makes an instant impact.

I didn't say we'd be a finals contender. Didn't say we'd win 50 games, I didn't even say that we'd be much better. I just said we won't be worse than this year if everyone is healthy. We won't be worse than 6th worst record if our entire roster stays healthy next year.

Why is that so hard to agree with?
Why do you have to prove such a simple common sense opinion wrong?

Obviously, if the injury bug hits us again, our draft pick ends up a bust, and Kobe's only 10% of Kobe, we'll be worse. Obviously if EVERYTHING GOES WRONG AGAIN, we'll be just as bad if not worse.

Just as he could come back and play decent, the rest of the pieces could get worse, thus, same boat.

Well thank god we have the "man with the plan," Jim Buss, that you so adamantly defended last offseason huh? The man who was so smart signing all those 1 year contracts. The man you told us to have faith in, that had a "plan."

Thank god we'll have him to retool our roster and work his magic again this summer if all the players you listed leave

We'll be a borderline playoff team i'm pretty sure.
