does kobe golf? i feel like the second kobe publicly states that he is going to pick up golfing he's going to get a phone call from MJ asking to hangout next weekend

Damn, Bazemore.

Torn a tendon in his foot. Having surgery, obviously done for the season. :{

Well, he and Henry will both be rehabbing all year, keeps them cheap possibly.

Them two + Farmar means we could have the majority of our bench back next year with Sacre and Kelly also in the fold.

Could help for continuity sakes as well as what we really want next year. ;)

There is very little chance that this team is going to be one of the worst 6 teams next season...

So why even consider tanking again? Anything not in the top 6 would go to PHX anyways right?

Healthy Kobe, Healthy Randle, Plus all these young pieces whether they make the playoffs or not will most certainly do better than the team this season.

Bottom 5 seems a lot less likely next year, but keep in mind this is what people were swearing about "healthy Kobe, healthy Pau, healthy Nash"

Well yeah I mean. If Kobe re-injures his knee (knocks on wood it doesn't), our draft pick turns out to be Anthony Bennett 2.0, an injury bug hits our young pieces again...

Then yeah, we'll be bottom 5 again.

But I mean, I'm Tryna be optimistic here. :lol

*whistling*

If Kobe dies again next year, and Nash is already buried. Then it would be rather prudent to shut down and keep the pick.

If Mitch and the Lakers are stupid enough to push for the 7th pick, only to hand it over in the division, I can assure you, we'll need a new GM. Cuz that's flat out ludicrous. And I don't mean the rapper.

tanking isnt "we suck so lets call it tanking"

tanking is "lets go out of our way to make sure we suck"

if without any FO tampering we will be around the 12-14th worst team in the league next year, a few trades here and a few "guys getting hurt" there and we could realistically be in top 6 range. of course the front office actually doing something like this probably wont happen

I feel you guys.
I agree.

I'm just sayin I'm assuming Kobe is rested, healthy and motivated next year.

Not saying it'll matter as in making the playoffs or winning a Title, that's unrealistic to think about right now. But if he stays healthy they won't be anywhere near bottom 6.

Obviously if he goes down were back to square 1 again.

They can very well be bottom five next year if the plan is to wait until 2015.

36 year old Kobe, 2014 lottery pick and a bunch of stop gaps likely isn't going to get to 25 wins in an ultra competitive Western Conference.

and of course we need to wait till we know who's our pick to have a better idea of the teams direction

I wanna know why these dudes don't yell at you, but give me **** every single time I say the same thing.

Some racist **** goin on or somethin 'roun' here.

:lol

I just have a gut feeling that Kobe (as old and injured as he is), a lottery pick and stopgaps will be bad... just not bad enough.

But maybe Mitch will pull the trigger on some tanking moves this time around. The pick going to a division rival might put extra pressure on him.

Let's hope so.

I look at the Celtics just mopping the floor with how it should be done, and I get so depressed. :{

Bout ready to trade Mitch for Danny Ainge. :evil
