Stein says the Nets' challenge now is to ward of competition for Jordan.

Looks like a for sure thing he'll be elsewhere soon.

Wondering what the other offers are like... any 2nd rounders there?

watch this too blow up in lakers face

probably asking jersey for a first rounder

that russian mobster is not only deep but crazy. 17 mill hit for jordan hill? :x

So CP, P, Essential, et al... I'm sure you hate answering questions like this, but what in the WORLD does that trade mean? :\

We take a $17m hit?

Why... would... we do that?

I'm not at a computer so I can't give you exact numbers.

Tax hit goes to Nets. We're basically trading Jordan for nothing, and shedding his salary.

But they are a repeater tax team and are so far over tax that any salary they add gets multiplied by like 4.

They will pay about $200mil for salary and tax this year.

this

they have the highest team salary.

^ Yep. Woj reports that the Nets payroll and tax would reach about $210 million with these 2 trades.

I guess Marcus Thornton and Jordan Hill are the missing pieces?

The Lakers would only be about $3.8 million away from getting under the luxury tax if/when the Hill trade goes through. :nerd:

Adrian Wojnarowski ‏@WojYahooNBA 12s

Among teams who could still redirect Jordan Hill away from Brooklyn, watch for the Phoenix Suns, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

Um nah what about Pau Gasol?

ok so the lakers have to move pau now right? since trading hill will be all for not because he alone doesnt get us under the tax threshold right?

As the great @NobleKane  has stated

NO ONE WANTS THAT BROKE *** LLAMA

Since they're only $3.8 million away like PMatic said, not necessarily. They could just trade Blake ($4 million) or some combination of others (Kaman is almost there at $3.2 mil)

Potentially keep Pau... To keep his bird rights???? What the hell?

I read that exact line and have re-read it about 900 times tryin to figure out what the **** good that does us.

I'm quickly losing faith in Mitch by the moment.

GIVE them away Mitch, so help me if he "tries" to win games at the end of this year, I'm going to be done with him.

Cut them loose *******.
