**LA LAKERS THREAD** Sitting on 17! 2023-2024 offseason begins

But with how terrible NBA reporting is, how do you blame Rob when we don't know what reports are true or not

Can't blame Rob for this 🤷🏾‍♂️

Rob is a buffoon

Why the hell would you offer ex-Warrior DLo knowing the entire GSW organization never wanted him to begin with lmao

ALL the blame goes to Rob. Anyone could tell him that offering DLo to GSW is NOT the move. They should’ve offered Rui or a combo of Vando plus JHS, cause those the types of dudes the Warriors would actually have a use for

Ultimately the lakers not making any moves is due to Rob not being able to clear enough cap in time for free agency to begin.

Why did that happen?

We gave Dlo a player option and he waited until the last possible second to decide.

We gave Cam, Hayes and Wood all player options and they ALL accepted.

This was all in limbo until 24 hours before free agency started.

Now our roster is full and we have no cap space available without making additional moves.

Players freely choosing other teams/staying with their team, that's not on Rob.

That is.

Players choosing other teams over us when we offer more money is on Rob. And Jeanie. And Bron/AD. And JJ (eventually)

We WERE the destination franchise, and now we aren't. Those guys are responsible for the reasons.

This is ALL ON ROB

I shall repeat

This fake *** car salesman is NOT a CLOSER

My President Trump would’ve fired him after one episode 😂

There's multiple things happening here.

I am glad Klay didn't choose us at 4/80.

But Rob offering that doesn't make me feel any better.

Then Rob being turned down for it is also an indictment. (Be it him, or Jeanie, or Bron, whoever you want to point blame towards)

But since it didn’t happen now they’re back on the “rob can’t close deals! Sell the team!” Lmao

Yeah this is the tough part about it. Four years $80 million for an already broken down Klay Thompson is an overpay. Two first-round picks for Jeremi Grant given his contract situation is an overpay. We would have gotten laughed at if we would had made either of those trades but yet we still get laughed at for not making any moves.

Is it better to make no moves at all or make bad moves?

It looks like we are going to run it back with essentially the same roster next year with the hopes that we can make a move around the trade deadline. This is the exact same thing we did last year and ended up doing nothing.
