**LA LAKERS THREAD** Sitting on 17! 2023-2024 offseason begins

I saw a post practice interview with summer league coach Jud, he said BI and Lonzo might not even play all summer league games (however many they end up playing in)

No need for them to play at all this year. Might as well sit out the whole season. It's all about summer 18 anyway. Nothing else really matters

360s over here B wetter than ya Bs P$&?@
Lmao chill wit yo Stephen a hairline lookin *** boi
Bigen paint all over ya dome lookin *** boi
Futurama head lookin *** boi
Hairline lookin like the 3 point line lookin *** boi
Lebron James hairline after game 5 lookin *** boi

Speaking of busts. Pressure is on bc the number 1 and 3rd pick look like future superstars. If Lonzo plays poorly ala D'lo rookie year summer league. Pressure will build big time

**** nick young. So glad he's finally off the team.

He'll excel in GS tho. He should be thanking Luke for recommended him.

KD lol... imagine taking a 5 million dollar paycut so your team can sign Swaggy P. Lmao. Give KD the extra 5 million and they'd still win a ring. Whatever, I hope GS signs Beasley & OJ Mayo next year and get them rings too

That's what you and others are overlooking. It's not about hanging back and twiddling thumbs until next summer. The plan is already underway. Step one was to shed salary. Step two was bring in guys on one year deals that can make the team competitive and attractive to the guys you just cleared cap for. This is all part of the grand plan, otherwise you offer reasonable deals and could probably land a George hill. You don't make all these calls and setup these meetings with the goal of coming up empty handed. That's not the plan and it makes it that much harder to move into the next phase of the plan

Yup. The Lakers plan was to sign 1 year free agents and they're failing at that. Not the end of the world, but Philly had the exact same strategy but Collangelo actually executed better than Rob and Magic. Not crying over missing out on JJ and Amir but the market is dried up now and the Lakers (so far) have failed to improve their team for this 1 year window.
