**LA LAKERS THREAD** Sitting on 17! 2023-2024 offseason begins

Even if Larry Bird had remained, staying on board as the Indiana Pacers basketball president rather than stepping aside as he did Friday when general manager Kevin Pritchard took the reins, the team’s Paul George problem would have remained.

Whether in free agency two summers from now or via trade before then, the four-time All-Star is still hell-bent on joining the Los Angeles Lakers. Maybe now more than ever.

So what do you propose we do if we lose our pick?
I mean options are limited, free agent choices are limited, the CBA doesn't give us a lot of realistic options outside of the Dwights of the world. We gotta do something.

If Ingram improves his jumper, he'll be fine next to anyone.

That will separate him from being good and great.

PG13 coming this summer via trade ?

Russy or Boogie in Summer 2018?

Randle should not be on this team past next years trade deadline and definitely does not deserve a contact extension.

Cross Gordon Hayward off the list this summer.

Even if Pelinka is tight with his agent. They may listen to him & Magic over the phone but nah he ain't taking less to come play for the Lakers this summer.

You couldn't put PG, Westbrook & Cousins on the same team even if you wanted to... Under any circumstance other than gutting the entire roster of anything but minimum players... And that would be even if we never signed Deng or Mozgov

Also JC prevents adding talent more than Randle does... Also Randle is the better player

Just for reference.... In 2018...

Westbrook - $36mil
George - $30mil
Cousins - $30mil

The 2018 salary cap is projected at $108mil... Just having Ingram alone prevents you from getting all 3. The era of creating a big 3 when none of them are drafted by you is over.
