I always believed in you

Me personally, I want KD to go to Boston.

A healthy AD, Bron, and Kyrie plus the right role players are enough to win it all.

I wanna beat GSW in the WCF then have Bron beat KD and the Celtics in the Finals for #18. Payback for KD beating us in the playoffs in 2012.

This how Stern, Kobe, Auerbach, Most, Buss, and Chickie want it.

honestly, if you are the Nets and you plan to rebulid, the 47mill expiring contract of russ + tht + a 1rst pick for Kyrie its a good offer

The Nets are kinda screwed though to where rebuilding wouldn’t be pretty for them unless they got a crazy amount of draft assets to offset the draft assets they gave up in the Harden trade.

The Rockets have the Nets 2024 and 2026 1st round picks. Both unprotected, and they have first-round pick swaps with the Nets in 2023, 2025, and 2027, all unprotected as well. All from the Harden trade.

Like the Nets are literally ****** if they mismanage any Kyrie and Durant trades to where that Harden trade has the potential to become a Part 2 of the Paul Pierce Kevin Garnett trade they did in 2013.

True

But the caveat here is that if kyrie plays his card right, the lakers offer or Russ and 2 first rounders will be by far the best offer they will get.

Add the four first rounders KD will get you plus Ayton and Bridges.

All of a sudden you got 1 year of Russ, Harris, bridges, Simmons and ayton.

Seth, mills Thomas as back up guards. Edwards as backup wing. Claxton as back up big.

That’s a 7th seed team in east. Then tons of cap space next summer PLUS if Simmons plays decent can trade him for more picks and young player if he is good but doesn’t fit. That’s 2023 2025 2027 2029 suns picks. 2027 and 2029 laker picks. Your own picks in 2023 2025 2027. Shouldn’t be a high bar to be better than Houston the next 2-3 years. Ayton bridges Simmons Harris Seth as your core.

They could do a lot worse to be honest. Plus they get their franchise back from KD and kyrie.

True. I’m curious if teams factor in the wishy washy personalities of Kyrie and KD into any potential deals though. If we’re going strictly off talent alone, it makes all the sense in the world to trade for those guys. But you also gotta question and wonder if they’ll still be sold on your organization 2-3 years from now.

Reason I’m saying this is because it seems like everywhere they’ve been, they end up unhappy at some point. It just takes one team to think they’re different and they can fix whatever didn’t work elsewhere. But definitely something to consider in any deals.

All that said. I’m legit curious to how it all unfolds.

Nets ain't just gonna unload KD for a good player plus picks. They want All-Stars back for KI and KD plus picks. Ayton and Bridges and picks is nice, but it ain't as good as Tatum, Theis, plus 3-4 picks. Tatum is going to be the best they can get in return for KD

Celtics and Nets have a history of doing deals too.

Imagine if this was a 2K league

The Russ for Kyrie trade makes too sense. BK Is actually the best place for Russ to get his numbers once they trade KD. I could see him having a good year statistically for them

If the Nets are asking too much to take on Russ, find another team with some players they do like and get this done

This game of chicken will be interesting. Nets know Lakers want to get off Westbrick and to get Kyrie to have any chance of contending. Lakers know Kyrie's value is rock bottom. Lakers probably don't need to offer both picks, but Pelinka might do it anyway in a classic Pelinka overpay.

Not expecting Kyrie to be traded until after KD is moved anyway.

Who else should Aron target with those min contacts?

The Nets can’t acquire Tatum because of the type of extension he signed as a rookie. It has something to do with the same rookie contract extension Simmons signed and was traded to the Nets. They can’t have two of those contracts that were traded on the same roster.

It’s something they were talking about on ESPN with their insider expert last night. There’s a whole list of guys they put up they can’t acquire including Tatum, Booker, Bam, and a whole lot more.

Can the Nets take on Jaylen Brown's contract instead of Tatum's?
