The 3-8 record "without Russell" is misleading because Nick Young missed a bunch of those games. With Nick and without Russell, the Lakers played better than how they've played in their 5-game losing streak.That's my Point-Gawd.

Do you think he'd be as good going up against starting caliber guards and defending them? His advantage is coming off the bench and killing other bench players imo

Pretty much that's why our bench has been great. They play together pretty much exclusively and play against lineups that mostly consist of bench level players.
You take Clarkson/Lou/Ingram/Nance/Black and make that a starting unit and assume the bench behind them is a normal NBA bench, that team loses almost every game by 25
