Jordan Retro 1 '85 Black/Red Feb 14th 2025

I’m still very much on the fence with these. I still have my horrible DMPs from 2009, so I very much want to move on from those. However, in a month where I’m also eyeing the black toe 1s and the SB4s…….these may hit the chopping block for me. My 2009s are still wearable

definitely a bigger size of the 2025's in that comparison. hopefully the more average sizes look better.

i'm not a 1's guy and I told myself i'm getting these. with that said... I've barely worn my 2013s so if these aren't special its gonna be tough to justify.
Size 10 in the comparison photo.

Cmon bruh are u bein serious
I really want those SB4s. Both of them. And in a month that coincides with Valentine’s Day - probably not feasible to cop all 4 pairs. Shoot, I just bought a new set of Qi irons today that I’ll have to explain to the wife later this week. 😂

SBs are delayed

I hope 1 day they spin the block and do a 2011 banned reissue lol the 2016s had a hat and shirt release at foot action that said banned and had the X like the 2011s.

Lol at some of y'all thinking that these are going to sit, along with thinking, that it's going to be 1 Million pairs of these made, lmao. First of all, Nike isn't going to make a Million pairs, of Black/Red OG High 1's, when it's the first time, they've made this colorway in the 1985 shape. Add to the fact, that they put a $250 price tag on these, everything about this release screams 2013 production numbers to me.

If it's only 250,000 to 500,000 pairs made of these, they're going to fly off of the shelves, way before they can even touch the shelves. Ive never seen a regular retro Black/Red OG High 1 release sit past a day. Also, the reason for the price hike, is mainly due, to how the majority of the community, has made this specific Colorway a resale shoe.

From the 2011 Banneds, to the 2013 and 2016 release of this colorway. The majority of everybody, that are into shoes, buy these up in bulk. To either resale, or to stock them up in their closet, as if they're stock.

It's funny, because I've seen so many people, buy up multiple pairs of this Colorway, on every release, since 2011. Meanwhile, you rarely see these, out in wild in abundance. The 2016,s had alot of pairs made, and we still don't see these outside like you would imagine.

Nike analysis what's going on with this Colorway, and they don't care about people crying about the $250 price tag. Because they know that the majority of people, are only buying this Colorway to resale, or to hoard for a rainy day. I always get the O my God look and questions, whenever I wear a Black and red 1 outside.

They're made to be worn, so hopefully the $250 price, turns people off, who only wants to resale or hoard in their closets for 20 years. But i doubt it, especially if it's not a million pairs of these made. They're still going to sell out, on release day, at $250.00 in my opinion.

All we said is if they make a million pairs they are gonna sit. Especially at that price tag. Which I think most ppl in here would agree. Nobody actually thinks they are going to produce a million pairs. Cuz they would sit

This guy speaking facts. At least for my generation. I can’t speak for the older generation and the younger ones

Man, he brings up a great point. Went from being the cheapest Jordan to the most expensive.

After Kanye wore Jordan 1s it changed everything for that silhouette. People started clamoring for a pair. Nike noticed and that's when I remembered when prices went up. 2013 Chicagos were $110 2 years later they retroed the Chicagos and they were $160. We're getting upped charge on a shoe that has the same tech as a $115 Air force 1.
