Lol at some of y'all thinking that these are going to sit, along with thinking, that it's going to be 1 Million pairs of these made, lmao. First of all, Nike isn't going to make a Million pairs, of Black/Red OG High 1's, when it's the first time, they've made this colorway in the 1985 shape. Add to the fact, that they put a $250 price tag on these, everything about this release screams 2013 production numbers to me.
If it's only 250,000 to 500,000 pairs made of these, they're going to fly off of the shelves, way before they can even touch the shelves. Ive never seen a regular retro Black/Red OG High 1 release sit past a day. Also, the reason for the price hike, is mainly due, to how the majority of the community, has made this specific Colorway a resale shoe.
From the 2011 Banneds, to the 2013 and 2016 release of this colorway. The majority of everybody, that are into shoes, buy these up in bulk. To either resale, or to stock them up in their closet, as if they're stock.
It's funny, because I've seen so many people, buy up multiple pairs of this Colorway, on every release, since 2011. Meanwhile, you rarely see these, out in wild in abundance. The 2016,s had alot of pairs made, and we still don't see these outside like you would imagine.
Nike analysis what's going on with this Colorway, and they don't care about people crying about the $250 price tag. Because they know that the majority of people, are only buying this Colorway to resale, or to hoard for a rainy day. I always get the O my God look and questions, whenever I wear a Black and red 1 outside.
They're made to be worn, so hopefully the $250 price, turns people off, who only wants to resale or hoard in their closets for 20 years. But i doubt it, especially if it's not a million pairs of these made. They're still going to sell out, on release day, at $250.00 in my opinion.
