IT'S, A, JAMES, BOND, MOVIE. They have 23 other films, nobody ****** calls 911 in them joints either.
That's just lazy complainin imo. If you don't like the movie, cuz James Bond wears a tux, or he fights big *** dude, but doesn't have a single scratch on him, you're just complainin to complain. Yes, technically its not clean movie making, but we in a world with smart blood locating, and bomb watches, and ejection seat cars that shoot flames, for a franchise 6 decades strong. If you didn't expect things like this, thas on you.
I watch transformers expecting alien robots to turn into cars and other stuff.. Or teenage mutant turtles to see giant turtles to do karate or Kung fu or whatever other martial arts
That don't mean I excuse the BS that Michael bay has done
There have been tons of movies with 1/3rd of the action that has been far better action movies.. Just because the action actually meant something.. Like jaws, because of the technology they were limited with what they could do and look at the movie we got
They blew up building with supposed significance in this movie, I had no clue.. Or how about this organization that was behind everything of the first 3 films and they had to use that simple camera in that one scene in that cabin in the middle of nowhere
They got special tracking blood, but they don't got better cameras then the old school bad boys

I can agree with the preview ruining the meeting, that's a valid complaint. Absolutely.
But wait.....the guard already knew that was Bond, even tho he let him thru because of the ring. Again, these guys specialized in information, they know all, see all. They own governments, countries. They had cameras watchin M give speeches.
You knew C was gonna be bad for 00 project. And? M flat out said so 5 minutes into the film. Why be upset about that?
I knew when they casted Monica Bellucci that Bond would nail her. Did that spoil the movie for you too?
Know what else ruined the movie? The title. I wanted to be surprised about the org's name too.......
People just want to find things to gripe about, that's fine. I was fine with Spectre, some folks don't like it, ok. No harm in that.

Hell, Monica bellucci was in the film for a funeral and then to get saved and nailed by bond.. That's it
Even that was lazy.. And they somehow made her 'love scene' with Neo have more passion

my problem was that they had perhaps the laziest excuse for a villain I had ever seen
all they did was take credit from the other movies to make the villain seem evil, rather than taking the time and writing to show him being evil

An actual effort was made.. And that shows how little needs to be done to accomplish it

word. kinda undermines everything that Silva did in Skyfall.
i wanted Waltz to flourish. There were glimpses of greatness but at the end of the day his character fell flat. Not Waltz's fault either, it was the writing.

what made his character evil was his mission to kill everyone bond cared about
except all those kills happened in other movies and he was 0/1 in the movie he actually shows up in

I have zero issue with waltz's actual screen time.. But it just didn't feel like he had real impact when he was on film

See, this I would accept as a valid complaint. I could hear why this kinda neutered Waltz as a truly worthy adversary.
It didn't bother me as much per say because I liked that they tied in all the other films together. I really, really liked that approach honestly.
But I can see why it might bother others.

yeah, other than that the trailers semi ruined the film for me which is on marketing and not the director/cast/screenwriter
at the beginning it was like oh okay he's going to shoot and the building is going to fall

I worded that wrong, I meant after about the 5th time Hinx showed up, Bond(or even Q) would've taken the smart blood out or Q would've started his own network since he was smart enough to lock C out of his own system, in Skyfall, Q left small breadcrumbs for the villain to trace bond and M to Skyfall, even after Q was locked out of his own system
it just seemed like they dumbed bond and everyone else down to some extent, until it was convenient . I mean Bond should've know what was up the minute Waltz straight up addressed him and turned in his direction. He's smart enough to use M as bait in Skyfall or even impromtu shoot a fire extinguisher as cover during that court gunfight, but isn't wondering why the same exact person is where he's at everytime??? When in fact he was told twice within 10 minutes of the movie beginning that he would constantly under surveilance in 2 forms(smart blood, and C's system)

^^^^the previews were great for this film man, they still are actually. I thought they were barely showing anything as a payback to the audience, like saying "if you thought skyfall was great...''just wait till the actual movie" i was so HYPED before this movie, the entire theatre was electric, and scene by scene, my expectations just got lowered and lowered. This def reminds me of seeing the dark knight and then being over the moon when I saw the dark knight rises and then again, slowly but surely scene by scene my expectatations got lower and lower

and don't get my wrong, I liked the TDKR but only in scene portions, just like Spectre.
-"you are a kite dancing in a hurricane mr. bond" the entire Mr. White scene was great
-Hinx on the train fight scene was AMAZING and then him tryting to pull off his signature eyeball/skull crush move on bond(hearing bonds skull crack slightly had me on the edge of my seat)
-Q and Bonds first interactions in the film how Bond just starts touching things and Q(even though younger) kinda takes it away from him and then scolds him, shows him this incredible beautiful car then hands him a watch....classic. In all Bond movies I LOVED Q and still do. so in Skyfall I was def skeptical of him being younger, but their dynamic plays so well off each other, beautifully established in skyfall
As an entire movie like I do appreciate them connecting all 4 and can't wait to watch all 4 once SPectre is released, as a entire saga and I'm guessing this is the last of this storyline as a finale, as a film it just didn't come together as a whole, atleast not for me.
Bond should've been in that car alone, saying goodbye to that broad, then driving off

Speaking of Q.. Even that whole carriage scene was a bit lazy.. Like him not noticing dude starring at him the whole time

After he ditched those guys in the ski gondola hes never in trouble again and we never see those baddies again. They coudve had an action scene of him ditching/fighting off those 2 dudes while the Range Rover/plane chase was going on.
Idk, that one poster is defending this movie to the death talking about how it ties so well with the other movies but it was still not as entertaining as it shoudve been. Bond movies IMO are popcorn flicks. Nice cars, action scenes and Bond nailing girls, thats a popcorn flick and this was less than stellar.

i thought it was either going to be Q getting kidnapped/hurt or he has so many gadgets that he is able to fight them off without throwing a punch

Yeah I have to agree. There was still some good interaction regardless, and villains being petty is nothing new, but you started an international evil organization for the sole purpose of ruining your step brother's life, because your daddy like him?
Come on son. They just plain could've done better than that.

That check must've been incredible for Waltz to take this role. This is assuming that he read the finalized script beforehand.

It was cool, I don't why the negative press. We knew that was the progression from the gritty, clumsy bond to the suave bond with gadgets and women. I liked watching that unfold throughout the Craig films. Now we're back in regular bond territory though, wouldn't mind this being the end of this run though and they do another fresh take because I admit, I did like the grittier ones. Bottom line though it was good, can't hate a Bond film for being a Bond film. I heard some lady say it was the worst Bond she's ever seen, and that's bull if you've seen most of them like a typical Bond fan.
