Is Social Media Destroying Society? Former Facebook Exec Says 'Yes'

Twitter fell once Tumblr stopped allowing Pr0n and sex advertisements. I think that was 2017/2018. All the sex workers went over there.

Elon is terrible but Twitter was bad before he bought it. I can’t let you do that, and I don’t even care for dude.

They sold it to him for that very reason. It was going down hill so, sell it to him for billions and let it be his problem.

Twitter been a rancid cesspool since at least 2014/2015.

That place been hamsterdam/debauchery laden for a WHILE
It was going downhill before then, but you could literally avoid all of that (like me avoiding Post Malone having 9 diamond songs but only hearing two). Elon is directly responsible for changing a bunch of things that didn’t need to be changed whether adding or taking away, along with the previous stuff I mentioned. He cratered the hell out of twitter as he took over and the only reason a lot of people still bother with it cause it’s the easiest most seamless social media app to use.

Now this is definitely true. Get on tumblr now and there’s really no reason for it. The search engine is terrible as far as gifs and such. It’s basically Last FM status now.

I 100% agree with the thread title.

It is full stop. I can’t believe it’s allowed. It’s so mentally destructive to have the most extreme viewpoints be the ones that people constantly have in their face.

Churning out anxious depressed fearful rage full people.

TV was the first version of that but that at least it was somewhat moderate in terms of extremism and real journalism. We’ve gone significantly backwards.

Social Media ig is the worst , besides that I deleted Tik Tok because I hate anything where they try and make real people celebs and idols over the dumbest crap. Back in my day the internet was the go to you could meet chicks that was baddies and all that but now it’s just all talk everybody gotta opinion . Let’s talk about life!

The irony of this clip only being available on Tik Tok is not lost on me...

Just saw a tiktok where a guy was saying how much he hated working and hates his job, wanted to punch his manager and coworkers... All while wearing the company with the visible logo and his face in the video. Updated today to say he got fired for the video. Comments just pacifying him telling him to sue and they can't do that. What happened to accountability? Better yet, what happened to not recording every single thought, especially when you have 500k followers :smh: :smh:

Mfs wanna go "viral" so bad

Dudes seeking attention like these females. The blind leading the blind out here :smh:

It’s really the summation of the fatherless generation dawg. I don’t care what people say, every boy needs a male figure and it doesn’t have to be his biological father. It can be a coach, mentor, teacher, uncle, brother, cousin, clergymen, neighbor, etc

He’d rather do tik toks instead of working:lol

But They will tell you this is a right-winged talking point.

I’m a black man in America. I don’t subscribe to liberal or right-wing conjecture. That’s for “them” people to argue.

Long as I know what difference the male mentors in my life made is all that matters. My mom literally would force my uncle and male cousins to get me out the house. “Take him somewhere

I can understand not wanting to work for some companies or certain professions but not wanting to work AT ALL????

This generation doesn’t even understand the luxuries that they enjoy come from someone’s hard work.

From the telephone poles, paved roads, the very car he sat in to make the video, the phone he used to record himself, the clothes he’s wearing. Someone had to “work” and manufacturer these things. It’s sickening how laziness is being promoted out here

Social media got people thinking that people living lavish with no concerns, just doing what they want.

Even the Kardashians have bosses and are slaves to keeping up appearances on camera.

I just deep dove the Jacksonville Rapper/Gang war. A good number of these guys (whom were getting money) got killed on the way and coming out of job interviews for some regular jobs. Point is, people have to stop thinking they're Neo out here. You are not "The One" fam.

Another thing, why do these people always think their words matter or they have some type of power? "I can really s*** on them if I wanted to." That's not going to do anything. They'll keep operating, you'll still be in the unemployment line. Man really said "Even if I did slap you, what would y'all do?" like he wouldn't be in the back of a police car on his way to prison lol.

Movies and media got people out here really believing that they're somebody with power. You're just a number fam, and based on your thought process, you'll be one 20 years from now.

Everyone is replaceable. I never thought I'd see the day Vince McMahon was living and WWE would not be ran by him in some capacity, yet here we are.
