The Chinese are diplomatic all-around. They believe in making friends than enemies, but moreover, they don't believe in internationalpolicing. With that said, they will come in to right the wrong (see the Gaza ordeal with all the world leaders).

To answer the thread-starter's question, no China is not the safest place to live. They have a very 'dark' justice system (however you interpretthat is up to you) and you're guilty until proven innocent and add a little capital punishment into the mix.

You can be executed for about 50 different crimes in China, so they make up for it. Plus, there's no checks and balances system that the rest of thecivilized world can refer to in order to support any claims of this non-violence. Also, Japan is the same way, very low crime, but have you checked out theirsuicide rate?
