Internet giants seriously considering 'nuclear option' to stop SOPA

Why aren't twitter and fcebook not participating though?

Sort of messed up, those are some of the biggest social sites, millions of e-mails would be sent if those two were being blacked-out.

Is it still possible to access Wikipedia in any way?The Wikipedia community, as part of their request to the Wikimedia Foundation to carry out this protest, asked us to ensure that we make English Wikipedia accessible in some way during an emergency. The English Wikipedia will be accessible on mobile devices and smart phones. Because the protest message is powered by JavaScript, it's also possible to view Wikipedia by completely disabling JavaScript in your browser.

You know how many losers that spend 95% of their time on Facebook/Twitter would literally lose their mind if they couldn't use those sites for an entire day

I swear some people spend more time on those social networking sites than they do in the real world

You can use this link to see which of your state's senators cosponsored  SOPA.  I live in AR and Sen Boozman is a cosponsor

Pryor on the other hand has yet to commit.

Feinstein and Boxer for Cali are both co-sponsors.

All of you people can thank Obama for this one.

But seriously....if the white house is opposed to these bills...why is everyone worried?

i dont think its gonna pass.

if it does go through then everyone loses, china wins

Seeing all those Senators who were former cosponsors of the bill now jump on the opposition bandwagon makes me really appreciate this protest and the sites that took part in it

on another note, I was really hoping to see WSHH protest and shut their site down for 24 hrs to save us from that ignorance but it never did. Worst part is WSHH would probably be one of the first sites hit by these bills

Some of my favorite streaming sites like the wire and the hub even took part in the protest. They only did a google though by blacking out the logo and leaving the goods open though.
