Not sure how many more clips like this,stories of loved ones dying and refrigerated trucks pulling up to hospitals as morgues overflow are needed before certain folks start taking things seriously instead of taking it as some sort of continuation of a nonsensical culture war

Unfortunately the pandemic's further exposed where some of these policy makers priorities truly lie and for a lot, it's not in sustaining human lives...

Many have proven that they'd rather send people and their families to their potential deaths in the name of improving stocks rather than caring for public health

It doesn’t even surprise me that the south would jump the gun first especially with the whole civil war and succession they tried to pull once upon a time. Can’t help but feel like these states just don’t want to payout the unemployment benefits anymore.

SAN DIEGO, April 21, 2020 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- aTyr Pharma, Inc. (Nasdaq: LIFE), a biotherapeutics company engaged in the discovery and development of innovative medicines based on novel immunological pathways, today announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has accepted its Investigational New Drug (IND) application to evaluate its lead therapeutic candidate, ATYR1923, in a Phase 2 study in COVID-19 patients with severe respiratory complications.​

“Many COVID-19 patients with severe disease experience serious, sometimes fatal, respiratory complications caused by an excessive inflammatory response in the lung, primarily driven by T-cells,” said Dr. Sanjay Shukla, M.D., M.S., President and Chief Executive Officer of aTyr. “The inflammatory lung injury related to COVID-19 may be similar to that of interstitial lung diseases, or ILDs, for which ATYR1923 is currently being investigated.”​

ATYR1923 has been shown pre-clinically to downregulate T-cell responses, thereby dampening the inflammatory cytokine and chemokine signaling that has been implicated in these severe COVID-19 cases. ATYR1923 has also been shown to improve lung function, as well as to reduce inflammation and fibrosis, in multiple animal models of immune-mediated acute lung injury.​

Deal should pass today - Senate's Schumer
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer says a deal on a new stimulus plan aimed at small businesses has been reached, and he expects passage today.

Included in the bill is a national testing strategy. Not included is any money for state and local governments.

Chatter from the other side of the aisle suggests there's work to be done, however.

Knowing how this plays out, this is only year 1 of the 3 year pandemic. First the virus, then the weather changes and shifts, this causes issues with crops growing, which causes food shortage world wide. By year 3, 1/3 of the world population has died from the virus, which has mutated to a stronger form which leads to no vaccination or from starvation. Those with anti-bodies, the lower and middle class, who survived the first two years of the pandemic are now being hunted down by the rich and powerful. Trump enters his midterms with VP Jared Kushner, Trump passes due to Natural causes, the Right morns, Kushner assume presidency for the remaining of the term and get elected as president in 2024. With no vaccination in sight, food shortage world wide, a new world order is created with the ultra elite, the .1% of the 1% strip away all humanitarian rights. The vast majority are taking it seriously seems you just want to grandstand my friend. Everybody isn’t going to feel like you so don’t get why you and others don’t get that. There is no time in history where everyone did the same thing this is no different. I’m not going to lie it seems like some of y’all get some weird pleasure posting this stuff smh.
