Bay Area folk living/working in SF: Avoid walking in the Mission/SOMA/Potrero if you can. I dropped by my office yesterday to pick up some urgent files (it's an empty office, and I parked right in the front), and on my way there there were I saw a A LOT of transplants going for runs as well as fiends walking around as usual. These people going for jogs were NOT keeping their distance from others AT ALL :stoneface:I saw a good number of people waiting in line near Target, and there were people jogging/walking right past them with absolutely no regard for distancing.

honestly, I'm doing more now than i did pre-covid. But before? Shoot, i've gone years without any kind of exercise. 3000 steps per day was a busy day. A trip to Disneyland was like a marathon for me. But i had to get with it. Last physical was good overall but i was in that step before pre-diabetes stage, so i had to get going. First step was to cut Coke out completely. Went from drinking 5-6 cans per day Mon-Thur (2 liters per day Fri/Sat/Sun) to nothing. Now i get drunker way faster because i cant have coke in my jack!! I do feel better overall. Never believed I would but just that helped out big time
i hope you do not take this into offense, after all, i do believe you are a logical person. i understand for you in these situations it is best to be over precautions, rather than be under or at 'normal' safety measures. but man that is a lot of coke. you were drinking enough for 4 people. i understand you were a germophobe before, so my question is, were you wiping down all of these coke cans/bottles before drinking and after touching them with contaminated hands?

there should be a balance and i understand it comes down to the individual to make that personal decision. i was noticing that today while cleaning my sink. i was spraying that sink with clorox and i was breathing in those fumes and i realized, we can also easily die from intoxication of spraying all these chemicals and wiping down surfaces. in the end, it is all about balance. and it is difficult to find that with such pandemonium happening around us. hope the NT community is making it through with mental health, it is an extremely valuable weapon against this virus as well.

Just check my spam email and realized I was approved for unemployment a week ago, though no funds have been deposited yet, I will get back pay... so I'm gonna stop using my vacation time after this week, luckily I still have 2 weeks left over.

I wonder if I'll still be able to go on my trip to Grand Cayman at the end of June, but it's looking unlikely...

Coronavirus Vaccine Could Be Ready in Six Months: Times
A vaccine against the coronavirus could be ready by September, according to a scientist leading one of Britain’s most advanced teams.

Sarah Gilbert, professor of vaccinology at Oxford University, told The Times on Saturday that she is “80% confident” the vaccine would work, and could be ready by September. Experts have warned the public that vaccines typically take years to develop, and one for the coronavirus could take between 12 to 18 months at best.

In the case of the Oxford team, however, “it’s not just a hunch, and as every week goes by we have more data to look at,” Gilbert told the London newspaper.

I saw this report on the news earlier and it got me thinking. I’ve been running in the streets for a few weeks now to stay away from other people as far as possible, but I can feel that some crazy vigilant nut is going go try to confront me for continuing to exercise my body and lungs outdoors one of these days. This is just a weird time, might even turn dangerous. What am I to do, I NEED my exercise (everyone else as well). =(

A vaccine by September would be wonderful. It'd be right around when I'm supposed to start clinicals for school (if I even start on time)

Which state bro?

a fastfood type of burger does hit way different than a home made burger.
It also comes out way different.

One thing this pandemic has made clear is just how incredibly stupid human beings really are. Maybe just maybe 2020 is the year we deserved.
2016 was supposed to be the year we deserved. Then 2017, 2018, and 2019.

Perhaps now we'll finally get it right and learn our lesson.

NAH. People are going to sit out voting for Biden so that we get 4 more years of Trump.

I’ve already seen a few Bernie Bros argue why they rather vote third party than for Biden. You didn’t learn in 2016?
