So after Trump's big announcement a couple days ago about convalescent plasma as a treatment for coronavirus, the FDA commissioner had to reverse those claims a bit:

It's still a half-assed reversal because he doesn't come out and say that the whole thing is ******** and that Trump was behind it.

And in the end this will contribute to more people distrusting the FDA on a vaccine.

What masks are you guys wearing to exercise outdoors? Looking for a good mask with a valve for biking around town as the cloth masks I wear for biking get extremely hot.
I saw Under Armour is coming up with an athletic inspired mask with breathable materials but it doesn’t have a valve.

Actually read that masks with valves are not to be used. Too much can get in. I'd pass on those.

The response stands in stark contrast to 2014 when dozens of advocates pressuring lawmakers to pass LGBTQ protections were arrested for standing silently in a hallway, blocking access to the Idaho Senate chamber.

On Monday, an Idaho State Police spokeswoman, Lynn Hightower, said she wasn't aware of any pending charges against protesters. The following day she released a statement saying that "Idaho State Police personnel determined they could not have made arrests on the spot without elevating the potential for violence," and that an investigation was ongoing into any criminal behavior "that may have occurred."

so the police department decided that de-escalation was the correct option in this case...interesting

I read reviews on UA masks, and some said it is too big.
They are, and oddly cut so the bridge doesn't stay stable. Had to get toggles to hold it better but ultimately a waste of 30 bucks, skip them. I'll just carry a mask for the odd moment I can't distance while riding.

Here are the KN95's I've bought recently
thanks for the links. i have a bunch of kn95s but one brand fit kinda poorly on me. i don’t think i have a long face but this one wasn’t long enough. i might chance the pack of 3Ms. i wish you could buy fewer to test em out first though. i also wonder how long these masks can be stored.

has anyone been to the doctor for a routine checkup, non covid related issue?
are they limiting how many people in the office, performing temp checks, etc

Interesting read. Helluva way to reach that supposed level of stability. Caution that too many unknown variables still exist. But maybe a faint light at end of long tunnel.

That possible reinfection case doesn’t help the idea. Hopefully just because patient wasn’t fully recovered.

I’ve taken my older Boomer Parents and Self to regular, followup and even procedure appointments past few months at both local University Medical and Specialist Doctors offices. All three type places did temp check at entrance, limited accompanying visitors to one or none, required masks, had sanitizer all around, spaced out sitting room, etc. These procedures should be basic standard when and where you are going.

Still have to go to these appointments. Thread talked about how postponing and canceling checkup, routine and special procedures are definite hazard to overall health. Can avoid Virus, but will be hurt by regular illness.

Do not be scared to still do regular health prevention. Just take precautions like everything else. Good luck, Stay safe.
