Guardians of the Galaxy (Film) - 8/1/14 - Starring Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana, Benic

When does Fox lose rights to x-men again? I'm assuming/hoping to God that the next film with apocalypse is based on Age of Apocalypse (best arc ever), after that if the rights revert back maybe you can do one of the big recent company wide crossovers (ie civil war), or maybe an old bad one they retool (onslaught :{ )

As for avengers, how about...

...Masters of Evil? :lol I got nothing

The worst parts of IM3 for me were the panic attacks. RDJ just couldn't sell me on that part

To those saying FF is boring, IM was boring before they made a great movie for the character. I remember growing up that IM cartoon was buns.

IM 2 & 3 received one viewing and it will remain that way :lol
This. Same with Thor 1

When they STOP making it. No confirmation but based on other contracts a movie has to be in production within 5 years of the last movie. The last I checked DoFP was the highest grossing summer movie at over 700M. So to answer your question NEVER.

Don't even remind me of that cartoon. Complete trash

as for F4, it could be a good movie
if it were made by marvel

Also doubt they had F4 in production in time. They just said they did to avoid losing the rights.

IM is still boring. RDJ isn't though.

Also Grace Randolph said some insider rumors is that Sony OWNS the rights to Spider-Man forever. As a part of their renegotiations, Sony now owns partial rights to the spider-man character itself. If this is true even if Sony stopped making the films they wouldnt lose the rights.

At least the way she described it. She said so in a couple videos a few months back. Been tryna find verification elsewhere. This would have to have leaked. By Odin's beard I hope its not true.

If they were to get back the rights to all their characters, I'd love for them to use Scarlet Witch to alter reality and create a new timeline. I have faith that Marvel will one day have all their characters back. First FF, Spidey, then X-Men

If they get their superheroes back it would be because superhero films become the new westerns (as in not profitable) then we wouldnt see ANY comic films. :x

Now that MCU includes cosmic characters I hardly care about them getting the rights to X-Men. I'm more excited about X-Men rights for the Shi'ar and War of Kings at this point. They are doing such a good job with MCU. Why turn it into trash by making it wolverine centric to add a few million dollars to each film.

Sony is doing a good enough job where I aint complaining, but I would still prefer it with Marvel. There is no denying ASM 2, with all its shortcomings, has a lot of heart poured into it. I'd say top 5 in creators putting heart into the franchises.

Only F4 stands a chance at coming back.

A few years ago I was complaining about those X-Men rights. Now that Cap 2 and Guardians are out I see its a blessing in disguise. That wouldve never happened otherwise.

EDIT: But don't think I wouldnt be welcoming of the X-Men. I just hate Wolverine. He is ALMOST Superman level trash in terms of inconsistencies.

There's too many stories for these films to not be profitable for the next 20 years imo. And that's why I put X-Men last. They just have too many characters and a bunch of stories they could utilize. FF i could see coming back tho soon. Even if they make a good film, I don't think it'll do well at the box office.

Everytime drax/tista tries to run i always thought of him getting gassed so easily like what he normally does in WWE lol

Yup, posted and discussed.

I guess that could be BRB, got to see how it looks on the big screen. There's a hammer silhouette inside the cage too but that really makes no sense to put it in there with him because then he'd just break out. You can see Howard the Duck chilling on the cage above too so it isn't him in the lower right cage.

Oh I totally didn't catch the cocoon in GotG.  Can't wait to watch it again for a second time or just waiting for someone to post a screenshot..
I missed it too. Guess I am going for a second viewing in a week or two

Theres little post here and there of people claiming to see the same thing i saw. Google beta ray bill guardians and take it for what its worth.

Im not the only one

This is what I am getting

"Take this Easter egg with a horse-sized grain of salt. When Peter Quill is first strutting through the ruins of Morag, he takes a brief moment to admire some strange remains. Specifically, the remains in question area humanoid skeleton mounted on a stick, with a horse skull in place of a human one. It would seem at first glance to be a strange combination, but Marvel fans know that the alien race known as the Kymellians match that physiology exactly.

Yet horse-headed humanoids in Marvel Comics can’t be discussed without mentioning Beta Ray Bill. The ally of Thor isn’t likely to appear on film anytime soon, but despite that (or perhaps because of it), the filmmakers may have decided to include at least part of him onscreen"

At least post the ******* link

damn :{ would be nice to see a company wide crossover movie/series of movies, but I can't complain with the work Fox has done with X-Men (Origins and the third one aside)

WOW.

Disney's end of the deal was that they got better rights to the merchandise.

Again only grace randolph has said this and didnt give her source (assuming she didnt want him/her fired)

I'm not sure why Disney would've given up the rights to Spiderman like that =/
It wasn't Disney's rights to give back in 2002.

yeah, it was all Marvel and people forget how bad in a shape they were. I even remember hearing about Michael jackson wanting to buy Marvel just so he could be Spider-Man in a movie :lol

Crazy how no one wanted to take the Avengers. Hindsight is a m'f

At one point Universal had Hulk and Paramount had Captain America so not really true

EDIT: Basically the avengers were sold seperately

Fantastic four isn't coming back anytime soon. They have a movie planned next year which will give Fox another 7 years of movie rights and they also have a sequel to that in 2017 making the earliest they could lose the rights is 2024.

Lol well I know it was Marvel that gave the rights away but it's Disney that renegotiated so Sony gets better movie rights in exchange for more merchandise profit, right

To my knowledge this renegotiation is fairly recent

^That negotiatiin is what im tahm bout. According to a few o grace's old videos Sony basically owns Spidey if insider rumors are true.

Did Marvel have lawyers when making these ridiculous deals? :{
