I think all those were decent rolls except Ben Kingsley really wanted him to be the mandarin but according to "all hail the king" the mandarin is still out there somewhere

I don't know how strong the guys are supposed to be in comic canon, but the movie makes everyone in GotG seem pretty underpowered.
The Hulk or Thor should be able to break out of that jail by themselves no problem right?

I would say they should "tone" it down and stay with someone in earth capable of doing major damage. I'd say dr doom but we all know that can't happen. Avengers vs doom though ........ That'd be pretty cool

Last I read was they were planning on rebooting it but haven't dove to much into it. But fox still has the rights.

I have some faith in Josh Trank because he's directing one of the new Star Wars spinoff films and also he did Chronicle, but I'm kinda worried about Kate Mara's comments that she has never read comic books and was told she didn't have to read any. Also she was told that the film wouldn't be based on any comic book film.

I think with the roll Marvel is on, I wouldn't put it past them to make one super team up movie comprising of the X-men, FF, Avengers, GotG to beat Galactic or Thanos if they had all the rights.
They'd probably call the movie Marvel: the Infinity Gauntlet

I read they just wrapped up filming. It will release in 2017 (just in time to retain the filming rights for the franchise).

Fox has the chance to replicate GotG's success with Deadpool if it happens but I wouldn't bet those chances on a movie with only one superhero as opposed to a whole team with a great dynamic
