Game of Thrones prequel series: House of the Dragon

Doesn't mean he can't express his opinion. If anything, even more reason to express his opinion.

If Jack Kirby was alive when the Fantastic Four movie came out and he said "**** was mid and they ****** up Dr. Doom and made Mr. Fantastic a *****", would people be like "Shut the **** up, Jack. You already took the money"? The reaction to his post seems much wilder than his post, to me.

Is there a book reader thread? I’m at like 400 pages in 700 of Fire & Blood and giant DEVELOPMENTS multiple have happened (at 315 pages was where it left off of season 2 end of the show we all just watched)

I have finished the entire 706-page book (with footnotes) Fire & Blood based on the show, any questions? I couldn’t wait. I won’t spoil anything promise :lol

Must've missed the inflection point that we crossed where two fine ladies getting caught up in the heat of the moment on screen draws scorn and hate now :smh:

So many fandoms seem to never ever be happy these days no matter what, miserable lot.

If i couldn't get joy out of something/a piece of media anymore, I'd simply stop checking/caring for it . Not obsessively keep tabs on it exclusively to ***** and complain over something I don't even like.

Lot of folks seem to get more weird excitement out of hating on something than even enjoying it.

I absolutely hate this element injected into viewing film nowadays. Like damn did you like the story? Character? Filmography? editing? writing? Any moments stuck with you? Were you entertained? etc etc etc **** off and go away somewhere with that weirdo stuff. You can say it always existed, but it wasn't this bad 20 years ago.

I mean, an element of that rings true on a sociological level just the same.

Given the opportunity to simply have the approach "I'm not really vibing with that" and move on, or stay and complain, (sometimes even joining a group of people already staying and complaining), people online will, by-and-large, choose the latter.

Unfortunately, this seems to be a trend everywhere... not just in TV/movie franchises.
Sports, video games, etc fandoms are also guilty of it.

And it doesn't help that social media clout adds to that. Some randomer can make an antagonistic comment (whether they agree with it or not) and it will get all the likes and engagement, which will blow things up even further. These 'fans' def seem to get more enjoyment out of blowing up negative-centric engagement. 🙄🙄
