Breakfast of champions this morning with my dad 💪. It's my last day of vacation 😢 so I wanted to go out with a bang, lol. Got to Jackson Heights, Queens early like 7:30AM but our favorite shop the staff was running late so we stopped in at a local bakery called LA Baker first & then went back to Kebab King for omelets/parathas & kebab roll.

From the bakery I got red velvet/oreo/pistachio & caramel bites, chocolate infused croissant, beef flaky pastry & chocolate mousse round. 1st time at this bakery & I loved it. Got some desserts to take home as well like the pistachio cream bun. What a delicious Caturday morning 😻 God bless.

I need an advice. Before marriage ends.

How can i cook my steaks in the cast iron without getting the grease splatter and the smell that permeates throughout the whole house?

I need my steaks. And i need my wife.
No smoke but it does end up smelling like butter and steak. I don’t see how you could even prevent that :lol

To mitigate you could reverse sear/sous vide, but even then you’ll get some splatter and stank.

If possible your best option is putting the cast iron on an outdoor grill.

Better invest in that grill because there is no way you can do that without smelling up the house.

This, use a method where you might only need a 30 second search at the end of it, and an oil with a high smoke point. Or try the torch route.
