Hoisin glazed duck from thanksgiving

Better invest in that grill because there is no way you can do that without smelling up the house.
I got the grill and i use it. But now weather dipping and it becomes harder to maintain that heat inside the grill

I may have to use my other wood fire grill. Maybe that will work.

So nothing for inside the crib huh? Damn

yeah does anyone have a practical deep fryer that makes cleanup easy?

Happy with this setup. Run this outside and the cleanup is simple

Set it to auto drain and the oil is filtered and drained into a plastic storage container within the fryer

Then just take apart and clean as normal

About to be back in the wing game :pimp: Saw Costco had it for $150 and couldn't resist

Wonder how well this self cleaning works. Always the biggest pain with fryers

Buttermilk brine then fried at 300 then 350

Need to find bigger wings

Seriously though if you’re cooking them all the time maybe get a grill and throw the cast iron on there or a propane burner. The cleanup gets old.

You aren't doing a long cook so it doesn't matter. You essentially just need to sear and cook for no more than 6 mins.

Even if you were doing a long cook, the cold air ain't stopping that party.

Only way to make it manageable

Good stove top ventilation and you’ll hardly notice lingering smells
Yeah I miss my big range hood in my old house. The fan I have currently is trash. Can’t even cook a steak in the house without smoking everybody out.

Thinking about getting this low profile KitchenAid microwave that apparently has a pretty heavy duty fan and has gotten good reviews.

My 105 year old house doesn’t have one either. First in remodeling the bathroom then kitchen and I’ll get one. Smh

Yeah this was what I was looking at. Might be overkill for me though.
also I was recommended this for a small appliance that seems super simple and saves the oil so you don’t need to transfer. Might pick this up since I have nice cast iron pot that I could fry in as well for bigger meals

I realize this is not essential for me in the kitchen but I want the option. I have all my bases covered pretty much. Last thing I need is a souse vide.

Is this a decent deal? Never smoked anything before, so not particularly picky. Like that it has the WiFi feature.

A quick search of some prices at other places and I see around $415 on the low end and about $600 on the high-end.
I found this thread on Reddit from a guy who made it 2 years ago and recently responded:

Yeah I had actually read through that earlier. Seems decent enough for me. Have a buddy who has had a different model for a few years and hasn’t had any issues.

Someone posted this today and me and my wife strong agreed after having the same meal
Yeah I feel bad about recommending to you. Seems I had a bit of a different experience as you, and the OP of that post. Our service in particular was great from the second we walked in and got ushered to the bar for a cocktail, to our server, sommelier, and the chef himself. Food was also flavorful, didn’t have any temp issues, etc.
