FOOD THREAD VOL. GRUB LIFE

That's the sauce to make honey walnut shrimp? Looks like gravy.
They don't cook the sauce. It consists of mayo, lemon juice and condensed milk.
The version I saw online had mayo but I will probably use condensed milk next time and some citrus for sure

Made a chopped cheese variant for dinner tonight. Wish I had a bigger roll. Basically fell apart once I put all the toppings and whatnot on and cut it. Wasn't worth taking a pic.

I also suck at constructing sandwiches nicely though.

Did you take out some of the breading inside the roll so the ingredients has a "bowl" to sit in?

I also didn't have any adobo seasoning, which I guess is traditionally on there. Used Slap Ya Mama instead.

Nice walk near the beach with the wife, sipping on some merlot followed with some sushi I’ve been waiting to have for 4 months.

I was just checking boxes so I’m not 100% certain what I ordered. Some halibut, tuna, mackerel, shrimp, halibut fin, salmon, and some other stuff. Going to make some cream pie for dessert.

By the way, low sodium soy sauce is the only way to go with sushi. Went with regular and it’s too overpowering.

Making rice is one of those things i used to be so scared of making. I used to make it in the rice cooker but then i perfected my white rice on the stove top. Also I make the best Arroz con Gandules and that has to be made on the stove top.

Been inspired to try my own pizza, so I got the ingredients from TJ. WILL use Cast Iron

Watch out with the cheese. Fresh mozzarella has more moisture so it can make the final product watery

So...

So I'm thinning out my pandemic survival stash. So you guys like reheated pizza? So how you feel about German frozen pizza from Dr. Oetker?

Oh ****... just googled the company and my frozen pizza has a nazi past.

Thank You.

Any suggestions on how to fight that?
The best thing I can think of is to slice the cheese and place them between paper towels. Then place a plate over the towels and weigh it down with some cans or something for several minutes to try and have the paper towels absorb some of the moisture

For future reference, look for low moisture mozzarella.
