I've seen avocado flowered (think the dude was on NT) and it acts as sort of an edible garnish. Avocado definitely isn't a traditional garnish though. I can see how it could be used like that though. All a garnish does is decorate or embellish.

Is a asparagus considered a garnish?
Cause i seen it paired with chicken, fish etc and it seems they use it as a garnish and season it from the pics and recipes ive seen.
I dont eat asparagus/nor know how to properly cook it.

Asparagus is not a garnish, and is delicious brushed with olive oil and seasoned with salt and pepper and thrown on the grill, or steamed and seasoned.
