Grilled fruit = #Cultural.
Did you put them on the burgers?
Give a good description of taste/texture/smellJust sprinkle some salt.
Creole Style Chicken and Sausage Jambalaya
Chicken thighs cooked and resting
Smoked Sausages and vegetables cooking down
Sausage and Vegetables simmering in tomato sauce
Final product. Not burnt. Just a little caramelization of the tomatoes. Made for a nice little crust
Came out great. Seasoned perfectly with the right amount of heat and rice was cooked well. Not overcooked, not mushy
No smell.
Tastes kind of like a hardboiled egg but with more yolk and there is no chalkiness with the yoke.
It's firm but creamy and more depth of flavor.
There's a bit of crunch
It's like eating a condensed form of a homemade chicken soup with a little umami/fish type flavor.
Very complex for just an egg.
Thats a duck egg btw.

Searing those sausages beforehand would probably set that dish off!
solewomanRe: grilled fruit
Cooked fruit is definitely cultural.
I went to a cookout last summer and "someone" wasted a whole watermelon and pineapples, by putting them on skewers and then putting them on the grill.
I asked to get some watermelon BEFORE the grill and "they" looked at ME like I was the wild one.
I DO NOT Understand
