Final product. Not burnt. Just a little caramelization of the tomatoes. Made for a nice little crust

Came out great. Seasoned perfectly with the right amount of heat and rice was cooked well. Not overcooked, not mushy

Searing those sausages beforehand would probably set that dish off!

No smell.

Tastes kind of like a hardboiled egg but with more yolk and there is no chalkiness with the yoke.
It's firm but creamy and more depth of flavor.
There's a bit of crunch
It's like eating a condensed form of a homemade chicken soup with a little umami/fish type flavor.
Very complex for just an egg.

Thats a duck egg btw.

Where can one find these delicacies? I must satisfy my curiosity.

U could try calling an Asian grocery store.
Or a Filipino restaurant

I'm not so sure about the availability in other states

Re: grilled fruit

Cooked fruit is definitely cultural.

I went to a cookout last summer and "someone" wasted a whole watermelon and pineapples, by putting them on skewers and then putting them on the grill.

I asked to get some watermelon BEFORE the grill and "they" looked at ME like I was the wild one.
