If Floyd is worth 800 Million, he spent 2.25% of his net worth on a watch. By comparison someone worth 80K would spent 1.8K. It's not that far off if you look at it that way, but then Floyd has other watches too.

Exactly any avid watch collector wouldn’t even consider a jacob&co watch. They make some ugly watches to be honest.

Rather have Patek philipe on my wrist than that tom foolery you can only wear once in a blue moon.

High-end mechanical watches are art in my opinion. The main difference is that you can actually wear such beautiful timepieces on your wrist.

Watches such as Patek Philippe are expensive because they are handmade with precious metals. Some watches take up to a year to make.

With all the luxury, unnecessary stuff that people spend money on, a fine timepiece is the most reasonable imo

But Jacob&Co watches, especially Mayweather’s, are hideous and not representative of what a quality timepiece is

Well these brands are not Tom, ****, and Harry. They have reputation and history even Jacob but to a lesser degree.

TBH if I had $200k to buy a 6241 I would. IDGAF if it was Paul Newmans personal watch or what hte ownership history was. That specific Daytona reference is one of the best watched ever made IMO

I highly doubt floyd cares about horology or anything in regards to watches outside of prestige, name, status, and perception.
