FAT Shaming

Yall remember this? Nobody wants to hear from a former big person.

Popular plus-sized model Ashley Graham has been forced to defend herself to angry fans after posting images of herself looking slimmer than usual.

Graham, who last year became the first plus-sized woman to grace the cover of Sports Illustrated Magazine’s famous swimsuit edition, has gained a legion of adoring followers through her body-positive platitudes and plus-sized lingerie.

But recent images posted to Graham’s Instagram and Facebook account have drawn the ire of fans who say she has “betrayed” them by shedding pounds.

Ashley graham has been a funny case.

Sure she’s (was) big but perfectly proportioned and her face is an 11/10. Sure. Be fat…if you look like her.

For the record, disliking someone based on their looks is the root of alot of our ills as a society. So what if a person is fat or has lost weight, why the **** does people let that effect them on a personal level. I guarantee to you that most fat people don't want to force others to be fat nor do most people that lost weight want to force people to lose weight.

No, they're not straight up haters

Yes, they're hating, but they're doing so in a way that they want others to perceive them as victims
They're no worse than people criticizing her when she was overweight. I would just personally classify them as all insecure in some measure.

There's a lot that we can't do regarding our looks, but we can decide our weight. Being fat is a choice, and a bad one. Disliking someone because they're ugly is mean because there isn't much they can do to dress up ugly. I don't hate fat people, I just don't like them being fat. It's very sad to me when people don't make conscious decisions to maximize their life's potential. We all have a long prosperous life ahead of us if we make the right choices today.

This is the issue, what does their life choices have to do with you?

Btw, this goes alot further than "Being fat is a choice":

It could be way more difficult for some people to lose weight compared to others.

Are we forgetting that no one sets out to be fat in life?

No one in their teenage years goes “I think I’ll be a fat person.” It’s never cool, looked up to, or admired. Everyone in life wants to be fit and in shape.

Happy fat people are people who ended up fat and found a way to be happy with where they ended up.

If that pill in The Nutty Professor were real and worked properly, how many of these people would choose to not take it?

Nobody should be harassed or treated poorly because of their looks, but tripping out over someone losing weight is crazy.

A scale is not humiliating. A scale is just objective feedback that is gonna save her life. How she feels is irrelevant in this situation.

Maybe there is a less transparent way to do this. they could weigh every person before they enter the park and give them a colored wristband to signify how fat she is and what rides aren't allowed.
In the end it's the same thing though. She still gonna be fat and embarrassed.

Is this not fat shaming?
