FAT Shaming

Thoughts?

I ain’t disagreeing with y’all but 200lb weight limit is really low for America

They could’ve had a more discreet way of weighing people they thought might have been over the limit, but at the end of the day that’s the name of the game ol son. You’re overweight. I was constantly checking weight limits on things I wasn’t sure about.

What’s more embarrassing - being too heavy to go, or breaking the ride?

😂

In the article it doesn’t mention if it’s a childrens ride, which limiting it at 200 is an easy goalpost (this story being a exemption obv) but if it was an all age ride 200 is eliminating a LOT of grown people off top.

I had to constantly remind myself that before I sat in sketchy chairs or benches.

Is it more embarrassing to ask the weight limit, or not sit there cause I’m too big? Or is it more embarrassing to possibly break someone’s chair and fall in front of everyone?

It was always the better option to ask or just not chance it.

Has being the victim of violent crime ever been an issue for the fat community?

It has always been a "thing" with children in school.

In terms of adults making the claim, not as much.

But we will see if it becomes a thing at any point.

The ol airplane seat dilema is what I thought of while reading spizike231 spizike231 ‘s comment
it’s real bro. Airplanes. Movies. Amusement parks. Damn near any seatings where people are next to you, you extra wide so you’re usually overlapping into the next seat.

Y'all really ain't experience this before??

Always thought they should be charged more lol

I'm sure we've all had the pleasure of eating with a big person. It aint really no mystery how they got big. Hard to blame all that on lipoedema. Does the amount of people overeating in the fat community have a negative impact on the environment at large? Seems like it's more than a my body my choice situation when it could potentially be accelerating climate change

When people start with "I don't know who needs to hear this..."

It's probably because nobody needs to hear it.

If we don't know who needs to hear our words, were probably better off not saying anything.

Imagine going to a restaurant and the waiter brings you food from his house that you didn't order while saying "I don't know who needs to eat this."
