But George kept Osc honest the whole sprint and was able to follow so closely on the twisty bits.
Mercs def have good pace as well as the Ferraris.
Gonna need more top-end for the race tomorrow tho.
But that was such a well-timed move by Lando to return the favor. Always risky doing that with George being so close.

Good for Osc to get that P3, but that SC timing really was unlucky for him and helped Charles with the jump.
Maybe the pen was too harsh (?), but can't argue yellow flag safety penalties... that's on Lando.
Good recovery for 2pts tho.

Couple of questions for the Lewis fans… has he always been so whiny? And what do you think about him wanting to retire before the end of the race? Do you respect it?

I always thought he was a bit whiny even when he had a dominate car at mb. However, the way he handled and carried himself after the championship being stolen from him in the last race in 2021 made me really appreciate his attitude. I do like his comments and mentality off the track as well.
It seems there is a lot of stuff going on behind the scenes there, and I’m sure it’s an overall difficult situation for him.
It’d be difficult for any of us to have our lives and comments consistently listened to and analyzed, especially in a high pressure work environment. I don’t hold anything against him.

I’m only talking about what he does on track. He hasn’t been really happy in the car since he got that win at Silverstone. Every week he’s complaining about his car and how it’s not right. He asked in the race was his car broken
. Another time he started from far back and he said “damn this is far”. He’s just so checked out all because Ferrari are doing so much better this year, but I think wanting to retire the car is a bit much. And after Brazil and making the insinuation that he wouldn’t come back for the final races, he brings scrutiny on himself.

To answer your original question, he’s no more “whiny” than any other driver.
If you need any examples just YouTube Max Verstappen radio or Alonso radio.
Verstappen is actually over the top with his criticism of the car/team if things aren’t going his way. His trademark phrase is, “the [insert car part] absolute
.”And like Dragicon mentioned, there’s clearly something else afoot behind the scenes at Mercedes that has been bothering Lewis all season. Not saying it’s some conspiracy as many have suggested but it’s something.
