A single 2-3 minute scene out of an hour long show? What happened in her other scenes over the remaining 57 minutes?

I think you simply used the word glorification wrong initially and then switched to start using the text book definition to try and make your point.

The problem here is you're taking it out of context. The drug use on the show is not being portrayed as special or elevated. That specific scene was pivotal for Rue. There is a difference.
