Kid/young adult asks McCain about his age.....
The type of questions that SHOULD have been at the town hall..... the types of questions you'd normally get at a town hall debate....
I don't know what that fraud of a town hall debate was last week but whatever...

So yes... there were a bunch of uneducated people supporting McCain at that rally several pages back with the "terrorist" comments.... but it goes both ways.
Thank you very much.

Wow, given how strong the Republican base is here in Miami-Dade and the fact that Florida was a gimme state for Bush when his brother wasgovernor, that would be quite a turn of events.

Slow down, Captain Hyperbole.

I have no idea why you guys live in this fantasy world of absolutes. It's not one way or another. We are not truly a democratic state (Call me when westart saying "and to the Democracy, for which it stands" in the Pledge of Allegience). We are not truly a capitalistic economy.

The changes we will see with Obama as president will not make us Communist nor Socialist. And borrowing ideas from both ISN'T a bad thing.

you just cant argue with some people, these are the people who think its unamerican to tax someone over 35% on every dollar over 250, the samepeople who think "income redistribution" doesnt already exist in america

Just a couple of definitions of the actual political systems in which you accuse Obama of supporting, I don't much see why they are bad(outside of Fascism)in Europe most of these systems have political parties that are attached and are not feared because their people understand the history of political systems, and no most of these don't change the way that governments work, thus their impact is very small in Parliamentary and Presidential systems(the only realtwo forms of representative democracy)

socialism-a theory or system of social organization that advocates the vesting of the ownership and control of the means of production and distribution, ofcapital, land, etc., in the community as a whole.
2. procedure or practice in accordance with this theory.
3. (in Marxist theory) the stage following capitalism in the transition of a society to communism, characterized by the imperfect implementation ofcollectivist principles.

Communism-a theory or system of social organization based on the holding of all property in common, actual ownership being ascribed to the community as a wholeor to the state.
2. (often initial capital letter) a system of social organization in which all economic and social activity is controlled by a totalitarian state dominated bya single and self-perpetuating political party.(This definition is what you think of when most people think of communism, but this is more how it has beenpracticed in history opposed to the actual meaning)
3. (initial capital letter) the principles and practices of the Communist party.

Marxism-the system of economic and political thought developed by Karl Marx, along with Friedrich Engels, esp. the doctrine that the state throughout historyhas been a device for the exploitation of the masses by a dominant class, that class struggle has been the main agency of historical change, and that thecapitalist system, containing from the first the seeds of its own decay, will inevitably, after the period of the dictatorship of the proletariat, besuperseded by a socialist order and a classless society.(I would hope alot more people are Marxist, but we are far to comfortable in the state of things forthat.

Fascism- (sometimes initial capital letter) a governmental system led by a dictator having complete power, forcibly suppressing opposition and criticism, regimenting all industry, commerce, etc., and emphasizing an aggressive nationalism and often racism.
2. (sometimes initial capital letter) the philosophy, principles, or methods of fascism.
3. (initial capital letter) a fascist movement, esp. the one established by Mussolini in Italy 1922-43.
(the form of government I don't support, but may be necessary for some developing nations.

Anarchy-a state of society without government or law.
2. political and social disorder due to the absence of governmental control: The death of the king was followed by a year of anarchy.
3. a theory that regards the absence of all direct or coercive government as a political ideal and that proposes the cooperative and voluntary association ofindividuals and groups as the principal mode of organized society.
4. confusion; chaos; disorder: Intellectual and moral anarchy followed his loss of faith.

So next time you use these in statements, or see them in the media think of what they actually mean instead of the spin that history has put on them, many ofthese(outside of Fascism) are decent political systems, I'm not advocating them nor am I condemning them. If people were inherently good then wewouldn't even need any of them. All definitions were lifted directly from dictionary.com

lol so Obama and the Dems are gonna personally lead our republic to socialism?!? As if democrats don't like making money.

...ok i've heard it all. You guys and your Kool-Aid

http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/10/10/mccain.crowd/index.htmlhttp://www.cnn.com/2008/P...0/mccain.crowd/index.html

At a rally in Minnesota on Friday, a woman told McCain: "I don't trust Obama. I have read about him and he's an Arab."
McCain shook his head and said, "No ma'am, no ma'am. He's a decent family man...[a] citizen that I just happen to have disagreements with on fundamental issues. That's what this campaign is all about."

One man at the rally said he was "scared of an Obama presidency." McCain later told the man he should not fear Obama.

"I want to be president of the United States, and I don't want Obama to be," he said. "But I have to tell you, I have to tell you, he is a decent person, and a person that you do not have to be scared as President of the United States."

McCain's response was met with boos from the crowd.

Timmons, Vincent, and Park stood to share at least $45 million if the business deal went through.

a lot of people in our government worked with unsavory characters and it all has to do with oil. when will we learn that the price of oil is more than what wepay at the pump.

We've been in direct or indirect military conflict with:
Iraq twice, Iran twice, Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia

How many times can we label them terrorists until we realize that part of the blame lays with our foreign policy and energy dependence.

You know whats hilarious about these silly conservatives that scream socialism....the candidate they elected will be leaving office having NATIONALIZED ourbanking system, NATIONALIZED two private mortage holders Fannie & Freddie giving the government ownage rights to half of the mortages in America. Thesesimpletons are the first to cry socialism but when our free market system screws up a lil the first establishment they look to for help is the government notprivate companies or corporations that are key elements to capitalism. FDR New Deal policies were regarded as fascism and you wouldn't guess who was astrong supporter of the New Deal none other than Conservative God Ronald Reagan--ofcourse when he ran for public office he would later reverse that postion. Soin the same vein that people cry socialism now was the same when people cried fascism for FDR's New Deal ofcourse they won't acknowledge the fact thatthe New Deal was one of the key proponents that got us out of the Depression. So next time a conservative spew their garbage talking points ask them how theyfeel about the FDIC that ensures right now 250K of their money during this financial crisis or ask how they feel about receiving pension checks from SocialSecurity when they become disable or retire... both "fascist" programs created during the New Deal.
