Edward Snowden: the whistleblower behind the NSA surveillance revelations

this guy whistleblows on a sketch surveillance program operated by the US intelligence community, and they are looking for ways to bring criminal charges against him, and possibly put him away.
meanwhile, the US gov't can't even put a single bank/wall st executive behind bars, despite the rampant unregulated business practices that maximize profits at the cost of the country's economy....

this country needs to do better.

Why are we ELECTING the same bozos into office though?

Just last November 2012... this country.. the USA spent $6 Billion in campaign spending to brainwash the public to elect the same parties.
Because if there's one thing I've learned the past 18 years of my life...

A majority of people in this country are ******g stupid. Like the second most people open their mouths about something that requires just the slightest bit of fact checking or education, stupidity just spills out everywhere.

Most are just largely ignorant of anything that is beyond them.

He is a true patriot and hero

Astonishing and scary the way people have fallen into this mainstream media traitor trap

Snowden has nothing to gain from this and will not survive.

It cannot be answered what will eventually come out, but one this is certain and Snowden will eventually be hailed as a hero and more will come out

Him going to Hong Kong was probably a huge miscalculated mistake though

my kinda thread...

The US government needs to terminate this guy or someone will get more information out of him. He mentioned he had access to undercover agents names and missions. That makes him a threat to US security now.
Yeah he's pretty much done.

why kill him? dude will come back to the states before he feels like he's being targeted for information by a foreign power. Someone with that much access to information could have leaked way worse, but in the end he only leaked what we already knew more or less since what..2007? and he isn't a spy so its not like they would just disavow. i can't see him being taken by a foreign power and our gov't just letting that slide. seal teams 1-X will be sent in.

...unless they just say F it and

Also The original author "says" he has more leaks to talk about but he's waiting for the appropriate time? He might not make it either? imo

It's not so much the government doing this, it's more that this has been contracted to the private sector for profit. Also the president said "we aren't listening to your phone calls" yet he failed to acknowledge anything about the metadata that's being collected as well.

This is the first time the government has even acknowledged that this type of program even existed, and now we know how big it actually is. The public should know and the "threat to national security" is purely BS, that's just a way to silence any debate.

I support snowden, and the real traitors are in DC.

Unprecedented isn't it?

The funny thing is this is just ONE program. Remember at this present moment, the Feds are building an NSA data center in Utah about the size of Disneyland :smh:. So imagine what they plan on having in there?

Read this book if you want a somewhat idea of what the NSA is about and the type of code breaking supercomputers they have.

watch!

:nerd:

A machine (video camera) that you must use to verify your age when buying alcohol in a liquor store?

Face recognition cameras when entering buses or trains?

Every 6 minutes your phone's ISP records who you're calling, your GPS location, what websites you are on, and what emails you received/sent. This record is retained for 6 months!

Highway/City cameras recording your license plate and GPS locations?

and this is just the first 8 minutes of this video? :smh:

Used a thumb drive to steal documents and other info. Those are barred from the facility he worked at. He'll die in prison should they seek extradition. Its a criminal investigation.

The inevitable...

NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden has gone missing after he failed to board a flight from Moscow to Cuba, prompting questions as to the whereabouts of the former CIA analyst who is wanted on charges of espionage.

They want to arrest this dude but not the thousands of people who conspired to break the law (by any reasonable interpretation of it) to even make this program possible. We prosecute speakers of the truth and promote the most vicious kind of liars. Land of the free, indeed.
