Last I heard from an official Sony source the whole bundle was going to be $499 and that was about 3 months ago. It would not surprise me if the PS4 undercuts the Xbox ONE with a few different bundle offers as I've always heard there will be multiple bundles.

Never said it was bad for everyone. For me, I won't play the same thing over and over for years to come. On top of that COD is now gone the madden style more or less with yearly installments. How many time will you shell out 60 for updates?

i actually like the $500 price, it'll make the resellers think about it. i was unable to get a ps3 on release day, but i got a return from someone who couldnt flip it.

Wait what is it being called???? If that means what I think it means then that doesnt count. Oh well this has settled everything for me I'm buying the new Xbox off the strength of Halo alone. Can someone find me a link I didnt get to see it.

I have a feeling they're not calling it 5 so they can introduce stuff like ADS, perks and Killstreaks without people getting pissed

Basically, I know thier game, they did the same crap with Reach introducing the DMR, AAs, and stopped giving a crap about arena maps

Who cares about resellers? These are not shoes, they are produced for years to come. That first Xmas will be rough if you really want it but after the third run of shipments they're all over the place. Buy the first gen system is never a good idea either. It's like the testing period for over heating, glitches, and other problems

This is what I am really surprised with the price reaction here, PS3 first came out with 20GB memory for $499 and the 80GB was $599.

360 was cheaper iirc, $299 for the Core and $399 for the 20GB. Is a $100 price increase really that surprising?

yeah. The console is going to sell out. SO if a parent wants to get it as a gift for their kids on chrismas, theyll probably shell out 200-400 over retail.
