Dressing better

Yo all my NYC heads where do you like to go to get fresh? I pretty much run the gamut from big stores like Neiman Marcus to niche and boutique stores. I'malways open to check out a new spot. I think that's one way dudes go wrong with their style, by limiting where they shop. I've got friends whowon't set foot inside of certain stores like H&M and others who only shop in Macy's. Personally I'll go into any store regardless of the stigmaif I think I can find some nice clothes inside.

instant klassic- thanks..

Im new to the boat shoes thing. Are supposed to be worn with or without socks??

I'll be wearing jeans and chino's with my boots ( I just love my boots), low profile sneakers and loafers.
As for shirts, I'll be wearing most of the shirts I purchased from the Rugby website with the sleeves rolled up. Knitted ties optional.
I'm looking forward to wearing my banded shirts the most though:

Fitted t shirts, v necks, polo and short sleeve button downs for me. SoCal summer is too hot for me to mess with anything long sleeve.

I am sorry but the high heeled boots plus double breasted leather jacket is a bit much.
I am also 5'10" and a regular boot with .5"-1" heel should suffice with a cafe racer type leather jacket in brown or black.

Alright what are your all's recommendations for shorts? All I currently have are some camo and a couple cargo shorts from Footlocker

I'm nottrying to find some THAT cheap but I'm definitely on a budget... Gap? Old Navy? AE? Something else?

Also if I don't like boat shoes, what goes best with shorts? I really love my Wallabees but they are a definite no-no.

Hey you gusy, one more question
Outerware-Right now i'm looking at this military jacket style as a good look. I kinda also like those peacot/trenchcoat things as seen in some of the picson the 53rd-!$+ page. something alittle thicker than a military jacket (at least thicker than the one i have in mind, which is the Gap Spring Akson in black)but with the same style. let me know

I personally would wear these (pic below) not with shorts but with chino's.

If I wore it with shorts or high-rise chino's, no socks of course. Any shoes similar to that, a slip-on Vans or a low profile Jack Purcell's wouldwork.

Come on now, I love those banded collared shirts. Perfect for the spring or summer, especially worn at the beach.
I also have plenty of a lot of short sleeved button up and a polo very similar to what bond was wearing at Casino Royal.

Im looking for some quality driving loafers that have flat bottoms and not a thick sole or heel... I've tried Minnetonka and they don't work for me...any recommendations?

HELP!
The Nike Toki Lux is the closest you're gonna get to a Nike Blazer/Dessert boot like shoe. All its missing is the crepe sole.

Very nice, where can I find these at?
