If comfort is your main concern I would suggest getting some insoles. I put Dr. Scholl's gel inserts in some oxfords I wore back when I was working retail (standing/walking around all day) and they felt awesome.

Those rubber soles are also used on finer footwear. Look up Dainite sole.

Seen these at my local Nordstrom Rack today for $99.99 and I'm really regretting passing on them. They only had two pair left and one of them was my fit. Hope they still have it left when I get off work tomorrow. Looks like a nice spring/summer shoe to add to the collection.

Good look on the link, but I'll be needing a 12. I feel ya on overpaying though. That's why I was so hesitant to cop. I'll scour some websites tomorrow while at work to see if I can find some alternatives, but if not I may eventually end up giving in.
