Bring Nash off the bench next year - leader of the second unit.  Get Lowry somehow as starting PG.  Get rid of MWP, MDA, Duhon, Morris.  Bring back JCHill.  thats a start.

kobe probably trolling dwight saying hes phil so dwight can force management to make a move :nerd:

Genius!!! Let's hope so.

Every time MDA gives an interview, I'm not sure whether to laugh because what he says is so sarcastic that it is funny.... Or be angry..

its stuff like this that makes me excited and cringe about being a possible future Lakers fan

In the NBA, players that look like 1st option type players or truly believe they are (even though they are not) and force managments hand to build around them are bad for your team (i.e steve francis, VC, Andre iguadala, joe johnson, amare, boozer, granger, Bosh)  all these guys have failed as 1st options.

then you have defensive specialist all star type players that really are better suited being alongside other players that can carry them in crunch time (ie KG comes to mind)

Lakers should not go into this summer expecting Howard to lead them to championships. He may be a part of a championship team no doubt, but only if he lets another player come in and be the main option while Dwight embraces his secondary role and defends, rebounds and becomes a leader.  He doesnt though,  hence why i cant stand him.

yea but this type of stuff is VERY possible.  We have done it in the past many many times.

Besides, thats not that farfetched.  Can be like a Pau for Lowry type deal, especially if Lowry says he wants out. besides, Lowry is not untouchable, not even near great.

I know that, but as an outsider more often that not it just comes off as yall throwing **** at the ceiling and eventually something will stick

 no offense

So to me, I'm excited to partake but at the same time I wonder if the old me would approve of this

It makes the most sense... Or run him as the off guard..

But 1 thing is for sure.. Blake has been pretty good this year, but we need a borderline starter as our backup.

Out of all the guys.. Lowry makes the most sense.. Only problem is... Raptors trading Calderon and keeping him signals they want a lot for him. I'm sure there was time they'd do Nash for Lowry.. But it will take a lot more now.

1)That would be all fina and dandy if he didnt lead a bunch of mediocre players to the Finals already as the #1 option.
2) why would you think that the LAKERS of all people would try to build around dwight and no other CERTIFIED star.

Dwight shouldn't be mentioned in the same sentence as any of those guys because none of those guys except for VC in his prime & Amare in his Prime have ever been viewed as top 10 players.

Before this injury riddled year, in a system where his coach's philosophy is run & shoot and has no regard for the post, people are failing to realize that Dwight has always been viewed as a Dominant player. Period

the lakers will put another certified star with dwight but will dwight be ok with that?  im saying that he needs a change in philosophy.  He needs to be the best defender, rebounding, screen setter ever.  he does that and you put a couple offensive greats with him, that team would be amazing.

that magic team got lucky going to the finals - Lebron choked like crazy plus Dwight was lucky Brown was coaching hte cavs LOL  Plus, Hedo was have an elite  level type playoff run.  He was their go to guy all 4th quarter.

Magic made the finals that year cause the reigning champion Celtics, lost Kevin Garnett for the playoffs, and still took the Magic to the wire and LeBrons best teammate was Mo Williams.

Ya'll forget how actually tough the finals were that season. It seemed like a breeze but without a botched layup and 2 missed FT's by Dwight (which led to an insane Fisher 3) we go to seven games.

That's literally how close it was or do none of you remember?

The Magic were not a joke.

Exactly. We were millimeters from bein down 3-1 (in theory, cuz if we lost game 2, maybe we win game 3 right back ala 2010).

09 Orld was very tough, they were out of sync with Jameer comin back for the Finals.
