DC Studios THREAD - GunnVerse Begins - The Penguin out 9/19 then every Sunday on MAX

He was asked to do a movie with Nolan though.

Like man's not smart. He could've got an in to being one of the actors Nolan rotates in all of his movies.

Yup.. certain directors, you go with just to do a project with them

Nolan, Fincher, Tarantino, Scorsese and I'd say coen brothers

We weren’t talking about producing though, just acting roles. People can’t really name anything tobey has been in after spiderman.

Well we were using the word “roles” for acting. You were the only one who posted about producing.

^ meh.. i just want to see mob boss penguin that they've done in the animated movies.. i dont want him as the primary villain though, just a guy who exist within that world

i'm cool with it just because i still trust the director

really like what he did with the last two apes films

what i just really want is for them to figure their sh*t out

i like batfleck for the most part but if he isn't in it 100%, kick him to the curb already and get someone new in there

no more if this flip-flopping sh*t, say what you will with Cavills Supes but at least dude is committed to that role and seem legit happy to be Supes

Cavill literally has nothing else though. Son is still building his rep as an actor to be in other ****.

I couldn't name another movie he's been in other than the upcoming MI.

Ben on the kther hand has a legit Hoywokd career. He let all of that sexual harassment stuff die down. He got a real shot to bounce back (again).

Outside of the rumors, I haven't heard him publicly flip flop on being Batman.

That doesn't really matter.

Its kinda obvious what these roles will get you and it isn't more acting roles.

Knew about Margot but not Gal.

And I simply don't hear enough about Cavill So I assumed he's been languishing out here for a min.

I think Cavills also being very selective with his roles these days.

You go to keep in mind this is the dude that was suppose to be Bond (had craig not gotten it) and turned down a role in 300 waiting for the Bond decision fromt eh studio, lost to Routh as Supes in SR when Singer took over, was the choice to be Edward in Twilight (he also lost to Pattinson playing the role in HP) and also lost to Reynolds for GL (this one he probably isn't too bummed about  ). I think dude was also considered for Bats in BB and then almost missed a call from Snyder for Supes because he was playing WoW :lol

So I think Cavill is getting role offers left and right, dude just has Rockys agency advising him which roles to take.

While some popular/successful.

I'm cringing @ the idea of Cavill being the glittering vampire of Twilight.

Maybe its cuz hes so ripped and bigger than most actors but I can not see him as Bond at all but damn that would've been a great gig.

That 300 thing aint a big deal. It kinda does seem though that a lot of studios simply didn't want dude for the role. Like he wasn't right for them.

I get being selective about roles after a certain point but it gets to the point now where he's barely in stuff on a yearly basis. For a relatively once younger actor thats not a good thing.

i didn't even recognize him but first time i actually saw him was in Count of Monte Cristo

he was pretty much Reynolds in the offers off of his looks and build alone and he probably don't want to go that route

he's only 35 so being picky isn't a bad thing at all, probably makes it difficult to take roles when your shoots take longer than other films, shooting MoS, BvS, JL and MI in a row probably felt like 10 years :lol

Warner Bros. recently registered a number of domain names for Wonder Woman 2, one of which was Wonder Woman 1984. Now, it appears as if that's going to be the title of the sequel because Geoff Johns has shared a logo for the movie which reads, "WW84." This could, of course, be a piece of viral marketing but if nothing else, it pretty much confirms that Cold War setting in 1984.

Wait maybe I missed something about this sequel.

Did they already explain away Diana giving up on the world of man for this sequel to take place or does the majority of the movie take place on thr island and other off world or obscure spots wherr she won't be obviously noticed?

Cuz if its the latter, what's the point of tacking on 1984 if you're not gonna really display that era? Like mentioning 5he Cold War would be meaningless.

Now maybe itd the other case and Diana is again interacting with ppl of Earth and stopping the villain from harming humans but then how do they explain her alleged absence for 100 years an but reconcile this 1984 event? Is she gonna be super jaded and cynical about mankind? The whole cold war gonna make her think she was right for ditching this world?

Just wondering.
