DC Studios THREAD - GunnVerse Begins - The Penguin out 9/19 then every Sunday on MAX

There's still a rumor that he's on his way out, but on good terms with WB who want to continue to work with him while he continues to make non-superhero films.

Apparently there's going to be more clear information on the DC Films in February-March. That's usually when they announce things. Who knows if the Batfleck situation will be cleared up then. I think he's got one more Batman appearance contractually, but it sounds like Reeves wants a trilogy to tell an extended saga.

Also, Questions coming to the big screen?

During an interview at the ACE Comic-Con, Arrow executive producer Marc Guggenheim confirms that the studio is doing something with the hero.

"I always bring him up," he revealed. "I’ve always felt like that character would be a really great fit for the tone of Arrow. That said, it’s not our characters, it’s DC’s characters and they’ve got other plans for The Question, which is awesome."

The interviewer attempts to get more information from Guggenheim but refused to go into greater detail about any of that. He did, however, add: "I don’t know what their plans are, but clearly they do have plans or else we would be using him."

and Gotham City Sirens still in development

When Collider recently caught up with the Bright helmer, the site asked where things stand with Gotham City Sirens and he replied, "It’s in development." Unfortunately, he refused to elaborate but that's definitely a good sign!

Interestingly, these remarks come hot on the heels of comments made by Suicide Squad star Margot Robbie about her return to the role of Harley Quinn next year. "Everyone has been working really hard, myself included, to get Harley back on screen," the actress explains in a separate interview with the site, quickly adding: "I think it will be quite soon. There’s so much more to explore with her. I can’t wait! I hope next year, but with bigger films, it takes a lot longer to get it all up and running."

Is that the same Mark Guggenheim who's writing this current underwhelming X-Men: Gold run? And wrote for the 2011 Green Lantern film? That guy is an executive of the Arrowverse? Keep every version of The Question away from them. The Question would make a really dope TV series too.

I'm worried about Ayer. I think he lost the juice. I wouldn't be surprised if they don't go forward with him for GCS.

Jesus so David Ayer did bright too?

Geee.. maybe he was a bigger problem than I gave him credit for

I'm reading it's not bad at all. I could believe many critics were paid off to bash the film.

havne't had the chance to see it

is it that bad?

I haven't seen it either.. was debating watching that or perks of being a wallflower, when shh else was on tv.. but I watched this and that made my decision easy:

Bright is way better than the critics are saying. My friends and I all enjoyed it thoroughly. I usually rock with double toasted but they’re way off on this one.

I just watched Bright out of curiosity and I actually liked it. I think it's pretty good. The chemistry between the leads is really good. Will and Joel Edgerton were great. The lore is interesting. It has the same day on the job/worst possible scenario context of End of Watch and Training Day. The practical effects are really good. There's a couple moments where the VFX aren't the greatest, but nothing too offensive.

Only thing missing for me is I feel like they didn't tell much about the elf side of the lore. There's a lot of orc lore with being "blooded" and their history, but the elves is basically just about the wands and "Brights". We don't get much of a backstory on Noomi's character either. She was looking pretty fine as an evil elf doe.

The Get Down's Yahya Abdul-Mateen II On His Next Big Roles

People might recognise you from The Get Down. What was it like to work on?

It’s interesting because with The Greatest Showman, I felt like I went from one circus to another.

With Baz, everything is about the colours and the lights and the theatrics. But the scale that we were working on also made it really comfortable for me to step onto the big screen, with The Greatest Showman and Aquaman. I felt like I had the hang of it.

Speaking of Aquaman, how’s it all going?

It’s going great. The scale is epic and this movie is going to be so good! I can’t say too much, but in the hands of [director] James Wan and with Jason Momoa at the helm, I think people are going to be really happy with it.

You play villain Black Manta. Have you had to bulk up?

Yeah. It’s been about five days a week in the gym and doing fight training, too. I have a love-hate relationship with working out. I do not enjoy the experience when I’m doing it, but I never regret it.

I think I’m in the best shape of my life.

Enjoying your time filming on the Gold Coast?

It’s just so low stress. I love it and have been telling everyone that if they ever get the chance they should come visit.

I kind of assumed all of Australia was like the Gold Coast – so I was telling people Australians just work out and go to the beach. Like, Australia has it figured out! But then I went to Sydney and it was nothing like the Gold Coast – but I still loved it.

Yeah, DT is really hit and miss. Half of their reviews are them just joking around, and the other half Corey rambling.

had put justice league out of my mind until today , went through and visited the DC Cinematic subreddit. Snyder was by no means a savior, but man, his OG vision for the film was so much better than what we got at the very least, visually.
