Just watch the Snyder films and the JL stream and if the DCEU is headed the way of the MCU films, im gonna be sorely disappointed. The scope and feel of the Snyder films vs the mashup (JL is NOT Snyders) is insane. The lighting, the costumes, Han Zimmer and Junkie XL vs Elfman.
I really hate that WB had to Joss up JL. What made them look at Age of Ultron and say THIS is what we need JL to be? it was so bad that Disney booted Joss out of the MCU.

And that's the thing, execution has been poor.
But more importantly that tone used by different directors will not work across the board for each character so to apply ot and make it work for an entire cinematic universe would require a master level use of execution. And given the amount of movies were talking about nothing like that has ever been done before.
Its like the version of Superman in Miller's TDKR worked for that Batman story but he didn't then go on and do a Superman story using that version of Superman. The story and character changes required certain personality traits of Supes to be diminished but still whole true for the character's essence given that extreme situation.

The more I find out about what was cut or replaced for some jokes that weren't even hitting. The more upset I get. The end result was generic with a hollow villain.

Take it with a grain of salt, but someone on another board who's had legit information before is saying there's going to be big news this month.
Shazam is filming soon and there's going to be a lot of outdoor shots, so they want to get the suit out there beforehand. They're going to reveal it next week. There's no hood and a side cape like the classic golden age costume.
Q1 this year is going to have some developments like Nightwing, Shazam, Suicide Squad 2, Harley Quinn "and friends" project. Flashpoint and Man of Steel 2
as well if they're ready.
They hinted at BIG Batman news this month. Ben is out. Reeves wants to start Batman by the end of the year.
There was going to be an Aquaman trailer this month, but they're going to hold it for later because of the Solo trailer.
