DC Studios THREAD - GunnVerse Begins - The Penguin out 9/19 then every Sunday on MAX

I do think it would have been nice to see him be OP for a sec like Vader in R1

I think his version of OP just wasn't what most people wanted. Him projecting himself in that manner took everything he had left. Rey points out that he's abandoned the Force, so I'm not sure how he would have been able to physically do what Vader did in R1. Luke was OP mentally and spiritually as a Jedi and his last moment was to save the Resistance and allow everyone to carry on. Then he goes out with the binary sunsets just as when we saw him in A New Hope.

That's just my interpretation. Some people hate it, but I was into it.

They tell us Rey isn't anything special. I think it's misdirection based on who tells her that and the motives behind it. Luke isn't just "killed off" but his arc does end and it serves purpose. I think people wanted OP Jedi Luke to just go HAM on everything for the next two movies or something. The line at the end from Leia sums it up perfectly IMO; purpose and peace.
i dont mind him dying.. but i do kinda wanna see dude go out in a blaze of glory showing the true ultimate power

but yea.. considering the flashes when ole girl touches the lightsaber, she gotta be connected someway

I think my other spoiler kind of touches on your first point.

As someone who hasn't seen TLJ yet, I appreciate the spoiler tags. You guys are the real MVP's.

The fact that the conversation has carried over to this thread has to say something, right :nerd:

And I'd never spoil it like that in another thread. Time to get back on track though :nerd:

I completely understand it and didn't hate the film at all

I just think it could have been done but I get why they chose to go this route

he didn't have to be like Vader just have that type of moment and while his projection was cool and might show how strong he was, it was still not as visually appealing

now had his project crushed all those AT-AT's as a projection then it would have been :wow: and would have left more happier

That really would have been epic. I would have been totally down with that :pimp: :wow:

Two weeks after revealing our first look at Brenton Thwaites as Robin on Titans, Warner Bros. has unveiled another moody first look at the drama’s heroes.

Today, it’s time to meet Alan Ritchson and Minka Kelly as the vigilante duo and romantic couple Hawk (a.k.a. Hank Hall) and Dove (a.k.a. Dawn Granger). In the image below, the Smallville and Friday Night Lights alums pose against a cloudy backdrop in their metallic supersuits, which were designed by Laura Jean Shannon (Black Lightning). As was the case with Thwaites’ Boy Wonder costume, Shannon has remained rather faithful to the characters’ red and blue color schemes.

Executive-produced by Akiva Goldsman, Geoff Johns, Greg Berlanti, and Sarah Schechter, Titans follows **** Grayson (Thwaites) as he steps up to lead a group of young DC Comics superheroes that includes Starfire (Anna Diop), Raven (Teagan Croft), and Beast Boy (Ryan Potter).

The live-action drama series is set to debut in 2018 on WB, as well as on DC Entertainment’s branded direct-to-consumer digital service.

Not bad. Not bat at all

The criticism about MOS being too dark is why for the first time I've enjoyed superman. The goody two shoes **** from the 1930s is outdated. Yall think if an all powerful alien being pulled up, people wouldn't lose their ****, the government wouldn't try to reign him in?

The tone wasn't the problem. It was the brooding teenage self discovert aspect of it. Dude is like 30. Nobody wants to see that.

That's the thing tho...
He was raised human. Before he knew of Krypton, he was just a boy from Kansas that loved his mom and pop and wanted to do the best that he could. That's what y'all always miss. The difference between Superman and others is that he was raise by good natured folk who taught him right from wrong, and that with great power comes great responsibility. Yes I know that's a Spider-Man line but Clark Kent was taught the same. Deep down no matter how much power he gets, he will still be that good natured kid from Kansas.

they did everything wrong with last jedi smh

lol @ that 93% on rt

now i know how iron man fans feel after iron man 3
I really really really wanna watch the movie cuz of you

I don't think I've ever seen you give any movie a harsh word before TLJ - this includes DCEU movies - but you continue to thrash TLJ to death :lol This is just so crazy to see

dog antidope loves that movie. thats all that needs to be said. you know the guy who hates martin and star wars but loves the twilight saga and hunger games?

:lol

deep down inside i know every hardcore star wars fan hates that movie. its just some of us cant find it in their soul to admit it and feel like if they say anything negative about star wars they are betraying it.

that episode of south park where george lucas and steven speilberg are doing a parody of that 80’s movie rape scene with indiana jones. thats what this feels like man.

maybe i just need to calm down though

if only disney gave the star wars franchise to marvel studios...
