DC Studios THREAD - GunnVerse Begins - The Penguin out 9/19 then every Sunday on MAX

yall think that it may end up being a Terrance Howard iron man situation and they may just up and switch Ben Aflec for someone else if he just completely gives up?

I don't see why they wouldn't be able to just switch Batman.

As a movie character, Batman has gone through hella actors. I don't see why this would be different, especially when IMO it was a mistake to go with the older Batman to begin with...

what about the Kilmer/Clooney switch. same universe different batman.

I think the difference with those switches is that outside of Burtons 2 films, none are really a continuation of another so you can just switch up actors

in the DCEU, it's actually all part of a bigger universe and they can't just flip flop in age, they can switch it up but they got to stay the same age actor

The problem isn't the recast. Him being older is already set in stone. You not just gonna erase that by recasting him

Jon Hamm would be a smooth transition. No need to Days of Future Past/Flashpoint it. It would be like Terrance Howard mane to Don Cheadle.

Flashpoint shooting very soon... hmm

At ACE Comic-Con this past weekend, Miller seemingly offered a hint to a fan that Flashpoint will be commencing production sooner than we thought. According to the user Daniel Eliesen (via Screen Rant), who spoke to Miller directly, the actor will be commencing work on the project soon.

"Just asked Ezra when are we getting Flashpoint and he said 'we’re starting it pretty soon, can’t wait.'"

Question for all:
Did a bit of digging, it will be airing through DC's streaming service so I'm not sure what universe it will be in. Will Titans TV series fall into the Arrowverse or DCEU? Wasn't sure.

The Nightwing movie?

They already cast a Robin for the Titans show which might be part of the Arrowverse but the Nightwing film seemed like it was going to be part of the DCEU.

man at this rate do flashpoint, have barry bring back the letter and then introduce terry and have ben be old man bruce. shot themselves in the foot by giving us dark knight returns batman as our first introduction to the character in the DCEU. now you're basically stuck with that unless you want the batman films to be prequels. there's so many good nods to some of batman's old interactions with the mention of the penguin in JL and Joker in BvS along with Jason's burned costume.

Instead of recasting the whole role, just give us Batman Begins with Terry and have Bruce be in old age. Unless they somehow make flashpoint revert back to like 10 years prior to the events of BvS where we can get a prime Bruce/Batman.

nah, don't want Batman Begins Bats in this timeline, have a separate movie for him from the future

what they could do if Flashpoint and then have it where Thomas & Martha have Bruce later on in life, maybe an event happened (Dr Evil steals his mojo) where he is born 10 years later and then when Flash returns to the present, you got the young Gylenhaal as Bats

not really, it could still occur, it just gives us a chance of seeing it without it being a flashback

I mean they were just easter eggs to begin with anyways and it doesn't have to stay that way

So all that Robin/red hood back story is a waste ha

Doesn't have to be , just have it happen more recently in the history of the DCEU. If Harley was present when this occured (as confirmed by SS), it couldn't have happened THAT long ago anyways, she's not that old.

Just have Bruce's birth being delayed for whatever reason in Flashpoint, and come back showing Barry arriving in Gotham. Witness batman capturing a thief, with the reveal having it be Gyllenbats.
