I'd be 100% down for Jon Hamm to play Batman. Don Draper would make a sick Bruce Wayne. If Ben's heart isn't in it anymore. Give the role to someone who will bring the passion and enthusiasm. I love Batfleck, but just go already. Watch the Reeves Batman flick with the new guy end up being really well recieved. It could of been a shot in the arm for Batfleck.

Jake would make a sick Hal Jordan. They just need someone with a good vision and some talent to direct it.

id think hamm would make a better thomas wayne in a flashpoint movie.

Yeah john hamm is the same age as ben. Jake G is the perfect age , around the same age as Henry and Gal. There is probably some unknown Brit that would be perfect for Bruce and Batman , just waiting to be discovered. Whats important is Reeves gets the character right. and the essence of Gotham, and leaves it open for others to be able to build on with the spinoffs and offshoots. The Gothamverse is its own mini universe inside the DCU

I like Jon Hamm, but according to those who had an issue with Ben Afflek being too old........wouldn't that be going the same route?

We've seen like 5 live action younger Batman's (Batmen?). We haven't even experienced the benefit of having an established Batman with history and an established rogues gallery. A Batman who has already lost a Robin. How many times do we need to see pre-Two Face Harvey Dent? Or Lieutenant Gordon get promoted to Commissioner? It's something different. If they can make a story that's hitting, I doubt many would care.

All of this. You expect a 40 plus year old human to keep up with Gods, Aliens, and Mutants while running a multi-million dollar business in the day time? You can have a Batman with an established rouges gallery and not be a ******* senior citizen.

I was being facetious, no 40 is clearly not a senior citizen, and when Bats is with the JL he does whatever is needed for them to win (which can include extreme physical activities). The point is though its alot harder for a 40 year old to face off against meta-humans (atleast), especially for a franchise with multiple films. As a human he needs all the advantages he can get

EDIT: I'm going by Ben's actual age which is 45, I don't know the official age of Bruce in the film series

Batman's never going to "keep up" with people who have super powers. He wont be facing off against them. His tech and ingenuity is what keeps him relevant. He's the Prep God. You could argue that having more experience and more knowledge makes him better suited to do that. He made a powered suit and weaponized Kryptonite into grenades and s*** to throwdown with Supes, because he knew he would get washed in a fair fight.
