DC SHAKE UP

Variety is reporting that there are some big changes in the works ar Warner Bros. in the aftermath of Justice League's disappointing box office run.

The trade has revealed that Jon Berg - who had been in charge of overseeing the DCEU along with Geoff Johns - will be leaving his current position, and a replacement is now being sought. Though Johns will stay on as DC Entertainment’s chief creative officer, it seems the studio is "expected to name a new person to run point on DC’s films."

What about Zack Snyder, you may ask?

Well, according to this report, there are no immediate plans for Snyder to direct another DC movie - though he will remain on as executive producer for Aquaman and Wonder Woman 2.

The shakeup is set to take place in January.

According to Variety, it is now "highly unlikely" that Affleck will return as Bruce Wayne/Batman for Reeves' film - however, he is expected to play the iconic DC hero one more time for the planned Flashpoint movie.

We recently found out that Jake Gyllenhaal might be in the running to replace Affleck, and now Radar Online reckons Jon Hamm would like a crack at the Bat, and is said to be "desperate for the gig." Probably best not to put too much stock in that for the time being, though.

 Did you just make that or is there a puny image Hulk gif already out there?

Well didn't they say that he technically wasn't dead? I think that's what I remember. Plus your hair and nails still grow for a bit after death in real life...lol
Yeah, this. He wasn't really dead.

It was all a part of Batman's pseudoscience talk about resurrecting him after learning what the mother boxes do.

Good start.

I will admit I'd be laughing pretty hard if Johns got fired :lol

Hopefully the new person running point really loves DC and film and has a good handle on how to transition and adapt it.

To me they just have to reboot as soon as possible or soft reboot and ditch all continuity of MoS to JL. Just keep WW if it was that good or do the character what was done with the Hulk from Hulk to Incredible Hulk to Avengers. Only difference is you don't change the actor. Also good chance to ditch the whole WW abandoned humanity thing.

As for Batman, its pretty obvious you go and do Batman: Year One. Complete opposite of the old Batffleck.

the Variety article also states that WB wants to move the DC films under the division where their other films operate so that might solve some of the production issues as it'll provide them with more experienced division that might help avoid those nightmare stories DC seems to have in their filming process

I'm watching Psych: The Movie

Zach Levi looking frailer than Ezra Miller -- they're gonna pump dude with roids for Shazam

A year ago I'd laugh and maybe be a bit ticked off f how bad a choice it was but I did not actively keep in mind that even unknown actors will worked hard to get fat or skinny or jacked for a role.

Jim from the Office went from skinny to ripped for that Bay Benghazi movie and stayed that way. Pretty much the same build as Levi.

DC films needs someone like Feige for the film business aspect. I remember reading an article about how Feige can be aggressive in negotiations to get what he needed. Geoff Johns can handle being the architect and handle the characters. I heard Geoff Johns is more of a nice guy. They need someone to fight like Feige so Geoff Johns can do his thing with the actual DC part. Someone who will be able to keep the higher ups out of it.

I'd be 100% down for Jon Hamm to play Batman. Don Draper would make a sick Bruce Wayne. If Ben's heart isn't in it anymore. Give the role to someone who will bring the passion and enthusiasm. I love Batfleck, but just go already. Watch the Reeves Batman flick with the new guy end up being really well recieved. :lol It could of been a shot in the arm for Batfleck.

Jake would make a sick Hal Jordan. They just need someone with a good vision and some talent to direct it.

I like Jon Hamm, but according to those who had an issue with Ben Afflek being too old........wouldn't that be going the same route?

Doesn’t make much sense to have batman older than the rest of the jl (excluding ww). Have him be around the same age.
