My mere existence is why this point is stupid.
My folks where in high school when I was born and I'm black.
Every standard predictor of success says I should not be a positive member of society.
Well I'm educated, I've never committed a crime and I'm in 91% percentile of income earners in America.
There are plenty of people who can financially support themselves that shouldn't be parents.
Who the **** are you to tell anyone who can or can't reproduce.
that's so obviously not what I said People that are actively on welfare clearly cannot support themselves, let alone another human. Just putting more strain on taxpayers. So you're saying people that grew up on assistance shouldn't be able to have kids?
Not everybody takes advantage of the system. Life is more valuable than dollar signs. This whole prejudice movement towards people with kids and kids itself, is just another scenario/idea where govt/corporations use to make more money. You and others on this thread took that bait hard or you're parents sucked at raising you.that's so obviously not what I said People that are actively on welfare clearly cannot support themselves, let alone another human. No because there's no effective, fair way to implement this. Politics is corrupt. You're going to put the choice who gets to have a child or not in the hands of those same politicians?
The debate is that people feel less people with a higher quality of life is better than more people with a lower quality of lifeLife is more valuable than dollar signs.
Really now. This whole prejudice movement towards people with kids and kids itself, is just another scenario/idea where govt/corporations use to make more money.
Yes, really..The debate is that people feel less people with a higher quality of life is better than more people with a lower quality of life
Really now.
Ok buddyYes, really..
I feel that corporations nowadays cater hardcore to the whole "individualism" state of mind and it's pathetic.
And.... **** all that higher/lower quality bs talk. Just keep it honest and funky, yoplait. People with money don't like people with no money....
People love to talk about personal welfare but blatantly ignore corporate welfare
Well off people and "companies" are leeching way more than people on government assistance but they're too stupid/blind to realize that fact.
Nah, only the rich and middle class should be able to procreate. Sometimes this site man

Nah, don't take away their right to have kids.
But if they fail at being parents, give them that sweet chin music.
Too many parents running around killing their kids, being irresponsible, and all this other stuff.
Just chin check them, take their kids away..
It doesn't have to benefit the child.. this thread says benefitting societyHow does that solve anything?...you now have a child in foster care...how is that beneficial at all to a child?...

So if we want to limit the amount of children and bad parenting, then you would simply implement a big tax on it. Have a child, pay a hefty tax. Wealthy people will have no issues... Smart people should hypothetically be wealthier. Persons who can't pay the tax can receive compensation to forfeit their child to a national education and training program designed to address the needs of the nation in areas of science, trades, and national defense. So people can get paid to have kids, while america has cheap human resources. You could have a team of special forces trained together since like 5 years old. Or people who have been focused on learning the highest levels of math all their life.
The parent can get little post cards of how their kid is doing but no contact until the age of 18 lol
Doesnt your post just support the my claim that people who want and should have kids would be willing to pay the tax. What we want to eliminate is people who dont really want kids or aren't ready them to be faced with higher costs or consequences to deter them from having them.that wont benefit society at all
as a person going through the struggle of conceiving for about 3 years now with IVF 1 failed cycle and one about to start, already about 25k just for a 50/50 chance not even a guarantee WITHOUT the slightest government aid or even my own insurance.....i think is a joke to see single mothers, pop kid after kid from different pops, unemployed and her kids taken care of by the government....government aid has pretty much encouraged alot of irresponsible people to not own up to their responsabilities....im not rich yet i have to come out of pocket for a chance at a family, a working middle class man.

Even though I started off not srs with my post... I'm still not seeing the disconnect between my post and yoursBro taxing people to have kids is practically selling human beings....not only that, but responsible couples with the minimal financial means to at least support themselves and a kid shouldn't be penalized for wanting a family, or kids be put into a system of foster care because of their irresponsible parents, furthermore a mother with 2 kids and unemployed shouldn't be rewarded with more assistance for a 3rd and 4th child....dude there is women out there BALLIN off this government cheese....is sickening.
Took the words from my mouthYes.
But it'd also be immoral. You can't stop someone from reproducing. It just isn't right, no matter how beneficial it may be.
