I really really hate shampoo/conditioner getting on my face, particularly my eyes. So I just bend over my bathtub and wash my hair without any water etc getting in my eyes

i’m sensitive to your health issues but may i ask, are you able to swim? i think if i couldn’t swim, having my face covered with water could be upsetting.

I can swim yes, however it’s quite strenuous and my muscles cramp up very quickly.
I only got my medical issues at around the age of 20-21 though so that has nothing to do with my weird habit.
I’ve been washing my hair this way since many years before the onset of any medical issues

I don't think the sequencing of which body parts you wash first really matters. It's still getting washed away with the water.

I don’t even wash my face. I just rinse it under the showerhead. Soaps and cleansers seem to make me break out. I stopped using them on my face over a decade ago and my skin has never been better.
