compliance with police is always the move. however, in many situations, if not most, it doesn't change a thing. that is because the cop initiating the stop isn't trying to calmly rectify a problem or de-escalate a situation. they choose violence regardless of the situation. but far too many white mass murders get not only taken alive, but even receive friendly treatment upon arrest. I'll never forget how cops took dylan roof to burger king after dude killed mad black folks in a church.

resisting or not, police encounters shouldn't guarantee or exponentially increase the chance of death. period. far too many cases of whites resisting, sometimes with a weapon, and getting arrested without a scratch.

also the police shoot whites too is totally true. and substantiates the issue with police that they aren't trained individuals who look to solve and de-escalate without force. killing is the easy way out. but black/brown folks are FAR more likely to catch a bullet than white. just mentioning that to keep discussions kosher.

Theres a reason the taser and gun are on dif sides of the belt, all the time, everytime. Im 100% convinced she knew exactly what she was doing when pulling the gun and pulling the trigger.

I think what a lot of these suburban white folks with george floyd posters in their front yard have yet to realize, is that there are numerous cops out here that WANT to kill people. Its rarely about actual fear for ones life or any rational justification, they look for situations where they feel they can get away with it. They want to kill and get away with it and are actively looking for the circumstances that will allow them to play out their fantasy. They're cowboys who watched too many movies and played too many video games and think shooting people is fun and exciting. These folks on the floyd bandwagon cant fathom that, its always just one bad apple, or a mistake or its situational.

One thing I've noticed is how reluctant cops are to correct their partners on the job, especially in the middle of encounters. She could have been told to step back, just like the young cop in the video with the army lieutenant could have told his partner to chill out.

It's a culture problem. As long as they continue to oppose criticism (internally and externally), things will get worse. And the longer this drags on, the more people really won't give a ****.
