All throughout elementary school in Northern California one of my best friends used to tell us his mom (Who lived in So Cal at the time and we had never met her) won the lottery and had a pool in the shape of a dollar sign $. Years later, she showed up to our 6th grade graduation and I remember walking up to her saying "That's so cool you won the lottery and have a pool in the shape of a dollar sign!". She looks at me like

I looked it up, I believe it's called the moneypak scam. The person for some reason isn't in town and asks you to handle affairs for them and you will be paid well. Then they ask for all of your information so they can send you the check.
I still got the check in my wall unit in my living room.
I live the struggle so I have/I am seriously considering cashing it.
