She was one of the most Liberal senators in Congress during her time there. SOme of her positions her left of Obama in 2008.

IMO, because ole girl is a pragmatist she gets labeled as a centrist by progressives.

Bernie would be better for labor unions. He did a great job in Vermont with helping the labor unions.

Hillary voted yes on the TPP, Patriot Act, and every war, Benghazi, and email scandal. Can't back her and I won't.

And I feel the best choice for this country is the liberal who has the great shot at winning in 2016 and skilled enough to not shoot herself in the foot so she can get a second term, that way SCOTUS can finally flip progressive

-Bill Clinton was a centrist and they gave him hell

-Obama was a progressive and they made him out to be the devil. Even when he was willing to compromise

-Sanders is a socialist, they will not work with him on a damb thing. If he compromises, he will look like a traitor to progressives (even though that would be the smart thing). And If he refuses to budge, then he gets painted as the problem and he is dead in the water for a second term.

I'm being reasonable in my expectation of what a democratic liberal can do if they get in power in 2017 with the House is still controlled by the GOP. Preserving the progress Obama has made and flipping SCOTUS might be all that could be done

So I want the person that has the best chance of getting 8 years. Clinton I see can do that. Sanders barely got a shot at getting one.

This is me being pragmatic instead of idealistic.

I JUST THINK THE MOST IMPORTANT THING FOR AMERICA IS TO NOT HAVE A GOP PRESIDENT.

In a perfect world I rather have Bernie with a cooperative Congress. But that's not gonna happen.

Up until he became president in 2008, yes.

As president, I would still say, yes

Being a progressive doesn't mean you fall on the far left on every issue. It is imo, a philosophy of governing

But he said openly he wouldn't govern strictly on the left, and that he will look for compromises to get things done.

I'm not disagreeing that the Clinton campaign is a well oiled machine just as it was in '08, just saying you can't often predict politics. Once debates start happening and Bernie starts getting more msn exposure, I'm banking on a lot of Libs having second thoughts on Hillary...

I just wish more Jewish lobbying groups weren't so in bed with the right,Bernie would be their guy . He's in some cases just as pro-Israel as many on the right

Democrats are not only liberals. Democrats don't have to answer to progressives like the GOP has to the Tea Party.

And Hillary is has a much better chance in the general election than Sanders.

I'm not willing to risk sending up an idealist that will likely not win, when there is so much on the line.

This whole Bernie thing feels like Howard Dean 2.0.

I'm not disputing her chances in the general election. Also she has about a 90% chance at winning the nomination right now imo ,just saying that Bernie could make things interesting and the longer he stays in the race and gains support the more likely a chance he has of pushing her platform even more to the left.

Sidenote in relation to the last few pages*Obama's become more of a moderate in office than anything. I wouldn't necessarily call all his policies progressive as a result of all the time he wasted trying out bipartisanship for a good while to appease the GOP while getting almost nothing in return
