Pressing in pickup I only see the "I'm here to get my cardio guys try that" Unless you're actually getting steals it doesn't matter anyway.


That shot around the 6 second mark was pretty good contest and she got it off.


As comp level rises she'll have better people on her team so if she's the worst player on a squad of 5 you're getting Ws at most gyms/parks

logically, the only way that happens if the people on her team are (way) better than the comp


i mean i have seen it happen before but 10 outta 10 times, the best 1 or 2 players at the run are her teammates

Most of our runs have those all year AAU teams in them. Since their coach is the one that opens the gym up for us to run late at night.

Them kids press and we press back. Defense is played until cats go airborne.

No one is getting better from just walking up and down a court.

the conditioning aspect would probably eliminate like ~95% of pick up players if we are being honest

ain’t nothin tough about that making that call, moving w/the ball full speed in transition into a 2-hand power dribble? how?? could have just as easily just kept the dribble low off the cross with the same gather

So if catching your own airball is legal on all levels except the nba…. What’s the consensus ruling for pickup ? I think most guys want to follow the nba rules generally speaking which doesn’t really make sense to me

As long as it’s a shot attempt it’s catchable yea.

But when we played ball at the park it was a walk/self pass here in NYC during my hayday. Hell even if it was pickups in the gym it was the same ruling.

But this is one rule that’s not explained to kids as they are coming up enough.

Huh? Thats a walk bro. Growing up I played hella ball all over in NYC also and thats always been a walk.
