Basketball Thread About Nothing

I also prefer going by 2's and 3's instead of 1's and 2's.

Mathematically, it makes much more sense to go by 2's and 3's

zippity zoop zip zop ***** what?

Who's mans is this?

I mean, obviously I grew up playing 1's and 2's but playing that way places a preposterous value on 3-point shots. With standard scoring, 3's are already worth 50% more than 2's. Now we're going to arbitrarily double that ratio and inflate it to 100% more? It really makes no sense.

Whenever I play one-on-one I nsist on playing 2's and 3's. Especially since I'm not a great outside shooter :lol

The OG cats that play in the morning on weekends. Play straight to 9 all 1pt.

Don't matter if you shoot from 3 or half court.... all 1 point.

Last game of the day, we play to 12.

There are no choosing your squads also, they don't even use the clip board, because people skip lines or reserve players names that haven't arrived yet.

It goes by WHEN you showed up. If you came late but you're #5, too bad, no time to warm up, gotta play.

If you're early and #1, gotta wait until 4 other players arrive.

**** you actually on point with that pic :lol These dudes can stil bang though... from mid 30s to late 40s.

A handful of younger likes myself that come to get cardio in. I respect their rules, and it's all about fairness and pass/team effort.

The after noon is when the real ballers come out... a few NBDL players, UNLV players come out to play. Jerome Williams plays here too.

I just saw Jerome yesterday morning at 24 HR Silverado putting in that work.

You hoop there also?

We used to hoop at the one on Wigwam but the court has been renovating for the longest.

Big time hoopers ball @ Tropicana but I hate that court. It's so small, there's no sideline.

Man Wigwam had some good runs as well but since it's half court only old timers run 3's or children are training. I rarely ball outside of Hendo, so I don't even know what that court looks like on Trop haha

Not a stereotype but one of my biggest pet peeves is when there's a full court game going and cats got several balls shooting on the goal opposite the action. Idk if it's the military/structured part of me but i HATE that. It can easily mess up the go flow of the game, somebody can step on a stray ball and get hurt and it's just rude imo. I left the court today bc they were doing that, also bc I wasn't feeling the vibe on the court, lots of lying, cheating, complaining etc. One big white dude was begging to get popped in the mouth. He's always out there talking slick to people, dude has to have a problem.

Haven't hooped since March/April. I have stayed very active but running up and down that court is a different animal.

Yall been playing?

Man I miss playing ball, im over this covid **** man, I refuse to ball while wearing a mask

Everything was worth 1 when we hooped half court. I remember a while back someone said they called charges in their pickup games that didn't have refs.

Yea, calling charges wasn't something that I didn't experience until I hooped with "other people."

That was wild though.

closest to hooping ive gotten was some halfcourt 3 on 3
aside from that, still keep the jumper wet with some driveway shots

I’ve seen some people do that this past week and that was legit one of the wildest things I’ve seen I a while. Full 5v5 running full speed with masks on. I miss it too but I can wait.

 Man, folks around here were hooping, 5-on-5 since JUNE.

I don't get it.
